The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.

Amy sure knows how to pick the ones she had a interest in over the years! Jesse,Caleb,Chase,Amhed,Finn,Edwin & now Nathan!! All have a story that I would think suggests stay away from them! I think Amy was just starting to open her heart ♥️ to let someone back into her life. Knowing that someone is there for her until Nathan stated all relationships always end in hardship. I think what happened to Nathan and Amy will bring them both closer. Amy will help Nathan heal his broken heart, and he will let her. THEY BOTH HAVE TO LEarn TO LET GO OF THE PAST, and MOVE FORWARD. I think because they do have a bond and chemistry they will help each other to go forward and heal ❤️ I understand how Nathan feels. If kids are involved and his ex fought for the kids etc it can be such a deep wound. I think the relationship between amy and nathon can grow and he will be a better person for it when he opens up to amy. I think Nathan is a bit afraid cause of his feelings for Amy. His heart ist broken and he want to keep it safe. He was rude to Amy and he knows that was false. He like her, and Amy likes him. The words before she ride away… she was hopefull that they get together and at the moment it doesn‘t look like it would happend. And now she‘s sad again because of the memories with Ty. I guess Amy and Nathan see each other at the wedding again and hopefully Nathan apologies for his words. Hope he gives love another chance, like Amy does.

@@ivandiedericks5573If Amy stays with Nathan after everything he said in episode 9 of season 17 and was very rude and clear that he doesn't believe in love. I'm sorry but she never really loved Ty, it was just an act. Nathan is a guy who stole Garland from her grandfather and father, a guy 8 years older who doesn't know what Love is. I simply won't understand what true love is, because Ty gave his life for her when he faced that bullet in seasons 13 and 14. Amy has to take care of her daughter and save her love for Ty, I doubt if it were the other way around Ty would marry again. Of course not, that's why I think this TV show no longer exists, just the big eyes of the producers from seasons 13 to 17 to make more money. In every season they use Ty's name to attract fans. Heartland was very good from seasons 1 to 13. Put an end to this soap opera of fools.

Amy sure knows how to pick the ones she had a interest in over the years! Jesse,Caleb,Chase,Amhed,Finn,Edwin & now Nathan!! All have a story that I would think suggests stay away from them! Is this what people really wanted Heartland to turn into! I reside very close to were the filming of Heartland occurred and can tell you the people I talk to around the area are not happy with the direction they have taken Heartland in. It is only a show but we just don't see our area or its people doing what is occurring in the show! Lol! We take alot of pride in our people helping others and handling themselves in a respectful manner and I must say the character Amy (fake show or not) does just the opposite! Enjoy having a star in our area but you can take the character away!!😂 Just saying.

My honest opinion Nathan is an asshole 8 years older than Amy, I don't know what the producers want with this, Amy has already become vulgar. Amy and Ty were perfect, natural love, innocent love, Heartland really lost itself after the 13th season with the departure of Ty, who for me was the best person who played his role. Mas existem outros personagens que compõe heartland e não seria justo com eles terminar logo depois da morte do Ty.
Entendo, que era um amor bonito, mas ele morreu e Amy não vai morrer em vida.
Chega à ser morbido e acredito que o Ty não iria querer isso.
A vida é tão bonita, mas ela passa rápido.
É para frente que se anda de uma certa forma o Ty vai ter seu lugar no coração dela, seja por lembrança ou saudade.
Mas eu gosto da idéia dela refazer à vida. Ela é jovem ainda.

I think Amy was just starting to open her heart ♥️ to let someone back into her life. Knowing that someone is there for her until Nathan stated all relationships always end in hardship. Nathan even saying how TY hurt Amy too by leaving her. 😢 He realized what he said hurt Amy. Nathan definitely opened his mouth and insert foot.
I would love see Nathan apologized to Amy for what he did if Nathan did not explain to her what happened in his marriage he should that would explain his feelings as well. I think Nathan and Amy would make a good pair together.

So user- fjinp if Amy has opened her heart for someone, then I guess she lied to Ty, her family and Lyndy that when she told all that Ty was her soulmate for her lifetime and he gave enough love to last her lifetime or like her mom said she gave her heart away along time ago to another and could not give it away again! I think what happened to Nathan and Amy will bring them both closer. Amy will help Nathan heal his broken heart, and he will let her. THEY BOTH HAVE TO LEarn TO LET GO OF THE PAST, and MOVE FORWARD. I think because they do have a bond and chemistry they will help each other to go forward and heal ❤️ I understand how Nathan feels. If kids are involved and his ex fought for the kids etc it can be such a deep wound. I am hoping Nathan and Amy can work it out ❤️❤️❤️ Amy may learn from her Dad why the choice he made leaving her when she was younger 😊 This may even bring Tim and Nathan together. After all, Tim has gone through what Nathan is now going through. I think this could all work out for a good story line. ❤️😊❤️

I think the relationship between amy and nathon can grow and he will be a better person for it when he opens up to amy. Ty wasnt always the best person and he hurt amy more than once in the beginning too but becaus of amy and her family ty grew and became the person we all adored and loved i think nathan can to. I also dont think that amy should be alone and that it is time for her to try and start moving on

I think Nathan is a bit afraid cause of his feelings for Amy. His heart ist broken and he want to keep it safe. He was rude to Amy and he knows that was false. He like her, and Amy likes him. The words before she ride away… she was hopefull that they get together and at the moment it doesn‘t look like it would happend. And now she‘s sad again because of the memories with Ty. I guess Amy and Nathan see each other at the wedding again and hopefully Nathan apologies for his words. Hope he gives love another chance, like Amy does.

I will use my granddaughters line: why would Amy want to even date a guy that many years older than she is and bring him home to Lyndy to take the place of her dad! Yes I wish they would ,leave Amy alone and get rid of all the people that think they are matchmakers Amy can find a man if she wants one with her beauty and talent I think it looks like Ty is first in line now and I sure hope so whenever they had a fight it seemed like Ty was the one to patch it up he would try to talk.
