This is a wise explanation of the benefit of forgiveness and the releasing of resentment. Life is unfair---at least in this fallen world. We have to be OK with that. God is faithful, whether we see it presently or not. All things work for the good of them who love the Lord.

I bare no grudge towards her. I am not bitter at her or about the situation. I do not resent her in any way. I just want to stop hurting inside. I just want the pain of not having her to go away. I don’t want any revenge or stupid crap like that. I have no animosity towards her whatsoever. I am hurt and I am disappointed not just with her but with myself and the fact is I love(d) her with all my heart and soul and I wanted her to know that and feel that and she has /does. Now I just want to stop hurting. Its been 7 years of longing for her and I am tired and I am empty and I just want it to go away. I want to be back where I was before I met her. Thats all. Just let the pain and longing and the aching stop. Please Lord. Just let it stop

I wish I could be at least free from all those "extras". Pain itself is awful enough. How did you achieve it? I had a misfortune to fall in love with extremely emotionally abusive narcissist. 14 years passed... the pain is alive. He used me, abused me, destroyed what he could in my life, and replaced me with someone he could exploit more successfully (Due to her big financial resources. I was lucky enough to be poor!) I think that what make the pain alive is, that we didn't meet a person, this time the right, loving, person, who would be worthy of our love. Once we meet such person - the pain will be gone. I don't know what happened to you, but chances are you were not lucky enough to meet someone amazing (yet). I will pray for you today. May God send you someone truly amazing, willing and able to reciprocate your love. May 2025 be amazing, joyous, and bring you what your heart longs for!
