When would wound packing be more appropriate in a limb like the leg rather than a tourniquet? If the wound is in the leg close to the hip (say within 100, precluding us using a tourniquet), is this when wound packing is used? Disclaimer: I am a pure layperson, so sorry if the answer is obvious. :)

Messr Zeddy thanks for your question! It’s dependant on patient and injury but we still pack and wrap wounds after Tourniquet application.
