Came here cause the homie let me borrow his fight stick while he trips off to Japan and wanted to learn for fun. Was watching while doing dishes and heard the bit about skateboarding and stopped, realized you skated, immediately had to sub haha thanks for the tips on the grip, now I gotta check out your clips 👏🏽🫡
@@unkn0wnmortaL I’ve grown more and more comfortable with my Mayflash F300 as the days go by. It was a little hard at first but once you break that mental block of making your fingers do one thing while your left hand/arm does another, it starts to feel awesome. Tbh at this point I think it’d be hard for me to go back to pad. Currently looking into leverless 😅
Seeing you use this fight stick has gotten me really interested in the idea of branching out with my gaming, I’m considering getting one once I get the game, keep up the amazing content
Just bought one and it’s okay but definitely an unnecessary curve to learn when there’s the Hori Commander which supposedly lessens misinputs and gives you R1&R2 as face buttons. At Walmart right now for $54.
For anyone new to using arcade sticks, using your thumb along with your index finger and middle finger is the normal go to grip that most people use. I personally put the stick between my pinkie and ring finger, however I don't strictly just play fighting games with my stick, I also use it for beatem up games, games that play like gauntlet, run 'n' gun games and 2D platformers. I highly suggest playing multiple genres of games that let you play on a fight stick so you can get use to using your fight stick in multiple scenario's. This will help develop dexterity in your fingers and it'll help you remember button placement.
Been thinking about a fight stick, my Dual Sense controller has been beat to hell thanks to Tekken 8. The only issue would be time to learn, but I'll make it work.
Wish I would have watched this video a while ago. Everyone on Reddit said steer clear of the Hori mini. Been wanting to try stick even though I like the Hori fight commander. Luke you said maybe the mini is actually a good jump off for pad users because of its size making the transition easier.
No reset position button in training mode, and is very small for people with decent sized hands. Only positive is price and comfort of stick/analog. 5 outta 10 for me. I would just spend a lil more and get a bigger and better with a reset button
Thank you for the vid very helpful. I just got the big tekken 8 fight stick. Im struggling to do df inputs . And it feels like i have to press really hard for directional inputs to come out correctly
I bought my first fight stick recently (I used to play with the keyboard) Is it normal that when I want to press 2 buttons at the same time they are not detected well sometimes? I don't know if it's me or it's the fight stick xD Something I realized after about 5 hours of use is that, if I press the buttons putting my hand in a different way, these mistakes are much less frequent. I had been warned that these controls are somewhat difficult to master
I messed up my ps5 controller and my daughter got me the hori mini as a birthday present cuz she knows how much I love fighting games. After years and years of pad my heart is full but my hand is broken 😂
These look super cool but I ended up grabbing a leverless for tekken 8. Portability is kind of king for me so the other sticks while they may be more comfy are a turn off for me.
The Input lag in this controller is amazing however there's a flaw and that is that it does not have a button that works as a Touch Pad in training mode i can't reset the training because of the missing touch pad.. Is there a way to fix that?
In my opinion it's too small. I looked at the hori real arcade pro 4 and it's $64 and it's more my size. I got big hands so thanks for mentioning the stick.
Word of caution to those who want to purchase this for Steam PC. Don't. You will encounter issues with rebinding the R2 button. It is too hard coded that even if you Remove Command, default input will still push through. If you replace it with a new command, Steam will simply combine both inputs. There is no workaround. Believe me, I've tried. Get any of the XBox versions instead. It will save you tons of trouble.

Just getting into tekken 8 and was looking at videos before pulling the trigger
Bro always teaches me something new. Gotta respect it 🫡
This video made me consider buying this as my first stick
yours is pretty quiet? any idea why mine is so loud?
Please make more content like this 🔥 I'm tired of people pretending like arcade sticks are dead just cuz they don't know how to use them 😏💪🕹️🎯

How’s this holding up after 8 months of T8??
Definitely want to get a fight stick, I feel it would make things easier, just don’t know if they work on ps5 or not?

I messed up my ps5 controller and my daughter got me the hori mini as a birthday present cuz she knows how much I love fighting games. After years and years of pad my heart is full but my hand is broken 😂

Hey dude hod did you get that Jet Set Radio Griptape?
The clutch is insane! 🗣🗣
you think a mayflash f500 would be a good upgrade from the hori mini?
Go for it bud the upgrade capabilities on that stick is amazing, still find myself using mine every now and then.
I didn’t know there were that many hold styles for a fight stick
This is really helpful bro. Movement is key, and I need to learn. Preach 🙏
I was looking at the hori mini for a while now, might just get it!

No, there isn't a way to fix that sorry, I have the same stick and I've just had to grow used to it
