Remembering Dan Wheldon

Anniversaries are often opportunities for us to celebrate significant events together. In racing terms, perhaps it's the anniversary of a driver's first win or a championship that comes to mind. Or it could be a driver's birthday or the date of the opening of a famous circuit.
However, occasionally it's an anniversary marking a moment of sadness or, in this case, the tragic loss of life. And, as time passes, it often becomes an opportunity to look back at not only the driver's life but also their racing achievements and the memories they created.
October 16th, 2021 is the date that marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of two-time Indy 500 Champion Dan Wheldon, However for some of us the year 2011 and name Dan Wheldon often brings fond memories. It was the year he won his second Indy 500 on the 100th anniversary of the world's most famous race, winning in dramatic fashion while taking the lead of the race within yards of the finish line.
The memory of that 500 win and many other victories remains strong at Hall of Fame Collection. Today in this video we show a behind the scenes tour of Dan's items in our collection. We hope you can share this opportunity to celebrate the life of Dan Wheldon with us.
