I’m surprised that Honda did that good with those logs. Can you get different grapple options or is this the only option? Can you put this setup on different trailers?
It all comes down to the pump. The 13hp Honda keeps up pretty well. Yes, the AM-190 can be put on any of our trailers or one you already own. We do a clam bucket with either closed sides or open sides
AJ... have you ever added one of those grapples to a bumper pull dump trailer without reconfiguring the tongue? what is the ballpark cost of the grapple unit alone?
I run a full time firewood business in the state of Colorado I have a firewood processor a dump trailer F-250 truck selling firewood doesn't make me a whole lot of money when something breaks down can't even afford to fix it just hoping I win the lottery so I can pay off what I got and buy a tractor and one of these huge wood loader machines but the chance of that is not likely I'm 29 years old pro arborist climb trees in the summer sell wood in the winter move property to property login trees working my way up
We all gotta start somewhere. This has been an exciting 6 year process. I reinvest every dime back into the business to have what we have. Lots of sweat, blood and tears too
Why? Everything we’re doing is well inside the capacity for the loader. If your truck can haul 2000#’s do you haul it in (5) 400# loads? We purchased the trailer to haul heavy logs, so that’s what we do.
Standard deck over dumps start off in the mid to upper $20's. This one is optioned out with LOTS of extras. absolutely. I have a guy up in New England that is a scrapper. Its all he does with it. Refrigerators, Ovens, stoves, washers, ....

You need at least a 5’ tongue. Some trailers have too short of a tongue and you loose your turn radius.

I would think you would swing the side down or remove so you don't have to lift over. Someday your going to bend the crap out of one.
