Keep some cardboard boxes from all those packages you guys receive and flatten them down to put under whatever you’re working on that drips. Once it’s soiled you can throw it away and your floor is clean.
That grease gun is the bomb. Randy has a similar one and he greases the heck out of our tractor. Anyone with any yard equipment that has grease fittings/joints they need one!! I’ve had to wash my hands with GoJo orange though a time or two to get it off. You’re right about it being messy. 😂 You have the best family and I adore seeing you interact especially with your grandkids. I hope you look for screws after they are done. Lester had his done an after every one was done he has found quite a few screws an has ended up with 2 flats. Especially after the one they did over their rv over to the J&L .. its like they took handfuls an just tossed them up in the air.. but it looks great

Carport looks great. Just make sure its tied down for Hurricanes. Have known people here in NC to have them fly/get destroyed that didn't have them tied down.
Here in central NC and yes, all east of us have to anchor down well. My carport collapsed with a pretty rare snow storm in 2018 where we got over 18” that’s only happened once before in my lifetime.

Liberty, its been Bragg all my life and whats on death and birth, etc records of many of my family) ...🤣 We are considered coastal since the insurance law change years ago, because we are on the "coastal side" of hwy 95. Homes, buildings, all have to be hurricane tied down. Hoping the winds are not too bad this weekend, but got stuff tied down and put up. Especially the trampoline.

Dan, oil will break down oil. Oil paint can be removed from clothing, or your hands, using cooking oil, then wash well in soap and water. Learned this while learning to do oil paintings. Who knew?
Love the new carport. The oil gun is pretty cool. I tell you, I had to go out earlier and would've paid to have someone spray me down (live in South Alabama). Heat index is 103
