The sheer size of vhagar is terrifying. I can't wait till summer!
Seeing Vhagar in combat - not just a game of cat and mouse - is going to be awesome in the truest sense: amazing, and terrifying.
She's so slow though, the con of having a dragon that big! I remember in the books that when balerion was so big he could barely even get up.

Just here after season 2 has finished to point out scenes from the teaser that were cut from the finished show;
0:09 The scene where Daemon pick up his helmet and walks out of his room at Harrenhal didn't appear in season 2.
0:46 This scene of Baela screaming on top of Moondancer, the most replayed part of the teaser also not in season 2.
0:52 Criston Cole smacking a soldier (Darklyn levy?) with his helmet, most likely at Rooks Rest, doesn't appear in episode 4.
0:55 Shot of Rhaenyra pulling on the reins of Syrax not in episode 1, same outfit as the one she wears looking for Luke's body.
Whereas I believe the teaser for season 1 didn't have any scenes that didn't make it.
I think the only shot that didn't make the cut from the season 1 teaser was that one with Syrax emerging from the darkness.
First season did not disappoint. The music, characters, everything was perfect. Let's hope it will continue like that
Season 1 was just the appetizer! It will only get better. Thankfully there is no Dan or Dave to ruin this series like they did with GOT

@@rbasi25 Dan and Dave helped make GoT special and unique though, as well as helped ruin it completely in the end. That's part of the paradox; that they both created a lot of the magic and completely destroyed that same magic later. For an example of what's missing without them you only have to look at this show. Compare it to GoT and it's dry as plywood.
You read GRR Martin's words on the page and they're interesting and very readable, but those two showrunners definitely added something. They had such a good grasp of which storylines to prioritise, which characters to focus on, how to frame big moments, how to make things feel epic and mysterious in a way that they didn't always on the page.
GoT was a one-off; and they might have tanked the whole thing with that abomination of a final season, but they were also part of the alchemy that made it so special for so long.
Did not disappoint? Season 1 was amazing
I love the books and the shows. GOT was good, but to short and cut down. Same with HotD Way to short..... They need 15 episode seasons and 15 seasons to make it justice.

Whilst it also rewards and satifys the fans that read the book and see it come to life. A good example of this is the new Hunger games movies only small changes happened.
They are making things better, unlike game of thrones, the original material for hotd is not as good.

This show started with s1 having the budget of GoT s8. S1 of GoT had 10x less budget than s8. It only gets better from here!

Agreed, the cinematography in general is astounding and leagues better than anything in GoT.
Wow, they showed a lot more than I was expecting. Everything - from the costumes to the cinematography, to the music and the CGI - looks like a massive improvement over Season 1. Easily my most anticipated show next year. Summer 2024 can't come soon enough.

I hope we get to see Baela and Rhaenyra in battle armor. Rhaenys already have armor and looked badass in the first season. It seems that they also changed out Daemon’s 3D-printed armor to a realer looking armor.
It looks like rhaeynera will be doing more for the war which is great so will daemon like actually fighting in battles.

As someone who read Fire & Blood about 5 years before the show came out I was very impressed with season 1. Basically all the characters seemed true to the text with many added nuances. Knowing what happens in season 2 I expect it to be incredible. The battles and events that take place will make for excellent drama
I wish they would have kept Aemond's unhinged character. To make Lucerys' death look like an accident instead of deliberate was a bit disappointing.

If i'm not asking for much,do you think that later on they will explore more further into the world like the Yi-Ti lore,The Tousand islands,Ashai,Sothoryos, i know grrm is getting old and is prob not writing about those places in books as is time cosuming,but adapting the lore to the vison of grrm's could be a great continuaion further after the targaryen shows are done.(or maybe dive more deep into the thousand years old family stark history would be amazing to seeing Bran The Builer overseeing the construction of the Wall would be amzing)

Vhagar rising into the air in the brief scene could be before Baela's scream scene as the scene where Vhagar rises is right after she ended Meleys and Rhaenys, and very nearly Sunfyre and Aegon II as well and as soon as Baela saw Vhagar rise into the air she already knew the result of the battle and scream especially when she sees Meleys remains below

the thing is sunfyre was placed in the open alone as a bait so could meleys attack him and be busy in fighting sunfyre as vahgar attack from above taking down meleys, this plan was set to kill meleys because she's faster than vahgar so they had to keep her busy so vahgar can take the time to attack and during that sunfyre had to be the bait and fight meleys alone and that's why he got severely injured with his rider.

I don’t think we have seen baela with that scream yet, or the panic in kings landing or syrax and rhaenyra looking at the other dragon on the beach, but mostly yeh all the first 4 episodes, i have a theory to that, back in game of thrones days they would send the first 4 episodes out for critics to preview and rate, once in season 5 the first 4 episodes all leaked before it even aired the first episode, i think showing mostly only the first 4 episodes in the trailer protects them from further spoilers leaking if the worst was to happen

A lot of the scenes shown in these four trailers are not shown in the episodes and for some only to bee shown from a different camera angle for example, Criston beheading a guy from duskendel
The Original GOT has been powerful story and good processing. And now as additional, HOD has more action, more dragon scene. I'm very excited.

I always loved how the Targaryen songs from GoT were made in terms of majesty in comparison to the others. But this masterpiece here... this is a whole new thing. Ramin is still HBO's greatest treasure for the world of Ice and Fire!!

Vhagar is a dragon figure manifested by HoTD whose every presence creates fear and beauty at the same time. GoT fans who like Drogon will definitely attract attention. but I'm waiting for the arrival of Sunfyre which should also get a highlight in the trailer. Vermithor should also appear in full form this season. the second largest dragon after Vhagar sure has good form too

Im currently rewatching GoT and there is a scene where sir Davos is learning how to read and he read a line that said “Viserys rode Vhagar, the smallest dragon of her time but was big enough to swallow a horse whole” WTF‼️ If Vhagar is the biggest dragon we know, as she’s PRETTY damn big imagine the size of the of the dragons who hatched her or the ones she fought
Different Vhagar I think. This is still like 100 year before Daenerys is born so I think that Viserys is Renyra (sorry about spelling) and Deamon's son. So the small dragon is probably still in an egg on dragonstone at this point. It's annoying how the Targaryen's keep reusing names 😅
@@Redfalcon101 There was only one Vhagar, and Viserys II (son of Rhaenyra and Daemon) never rode a dragon, his egg didn't hatch. Vhagar was said to be indeed the smallest out of Balerion and Meraxes, however her size in HOTD is comparable to Balerion's size at his prime.
I think he said "Visenya rode Vhagar". Visenya was one of the conquerors (Aegon I's sister-wives), she was Vhagar's first rider. Vhagar was younger then, I think she's around 200 yo during HOTD.
I like how they made Caraxes actually look violent and bloodthirsty. It does seem like they are going to give the dragons different personalities too!!

I hope they turn this into an anthology series, featuring all the major Targaryen events: Dance of the Dragons, Blackfyre rebellion, Doom of Valyria, Aegon's Conquest and Robert's rebellion. They wouldn't even have to make a new series, this one's already named, "House of the Dragon"!!

They're not going to adapt Robert's Rebellion to film, GRRM has repeatedly stated that will never happen. The latest time period that could plausibly be shown on screen is probably when Aegon V becomes king (a natural conclusion to the Tales of Dunk and Egg) and that would be fifty years before the rebellion.

Vhagar flying gave me the chills, the size and the fact that we know she isn’t completely under Aemond’s control, what a beast.
That’s the issue.You’re going with those fugazi showwriters who stole agency from Aemond.Neither Vhagar nor any other dragon goes around burning towns and villages when they don’t have a rider.Once you’ve fully bonded to a dragon your will becomes theirs.
@@rouskeycarpel1436 That’s not what they’re saying. They’re saying he has a bond with her but it’s just weaker due to all her previous bonds throughout her life. So she finds it easier to ignore her rider than other dragons would.
They straight up confirm in s1 that nobody actually has full control over the dragons they've bonded with. Viserys and Rhaenyra talk about it in the first episode (or at least one of the first episodes). They're still wild animals and have their own will. It's depicted perfectly with Vhagar in the season finale, but it was also shown in GOT with Drogon, who even left Danny for a while and did whatever he wanted, even killing villagers.

It's the prequel to Game of Thrones. It never had any qualms about killing off beloved characters.
He was good. Not nearly as good as Sean bean in season 1 of GOT. But just like Ned, Viserys kept things too stable. They needed to go so the story could advance.
@@bigpoppy0617I am not so sure about the stable part .Viserys's unwillingness to even acknowledge the problems infront of him let alone to do something to prevent it was the primary cause of the dance .If he had only the foresight of the greater ramifications of keeping rhaenyra as his heir whilst he had living sons of his own body ,he would have agreed to otto's proposal to wed aegon to rhaenyra .In that way no one could challenge her and her children's claims and aegon himself never had any desire to rule and the greens would have been content with that as their blood would be on the iron throne anyways with or without aegon being king .That was the only way the dance could have been prevented

I don't get it how people seem to believe Daemon survived. There is literally no evidence anywhere that he walked away from that fight. What will happen is simple. He will kill Aemond and the moment he does, he (Daemon) and Aemond will smash into the water together and we'll never see either of them again. It will then cut away to another character and then they will hear from someone else that Daemon is dead alongside his nephew and that'll be the end of it. Daemon even if he did survive (but he didn't) we will never know and history will never know. As far as everyone is concerned he is dead because that is the only logical to have happened

I’ve wondered if Balerion and Meraxes had been alive, would they had turned against each other under any circumstance if their riders had been at war given how they had grown up together and fought side by side.I am talking after Aegon, Rhaenys and Visenya were gone.They must have had an incredibly strong bond along with Vhagar before during and after conquest.
They would have . Caraxes and Vhagar were lovers ( Vhagar laid multiple clutches of eggs in Pentos , Moondancer is their little dragon ) and we all know what happened between them in the end....

I’m wondering if the second season will cover the whole of the Dance or just part of it. It would be cool if it ended with the Hour of the Wolf then had a third season about Aegon Dragonsbane and the dying of the dragons. End the series off with how dragons went extinct from the world. Then do the story of Dunk and Egg in a new series, or the the first Blackfyre rebellion
The season ends with the battle at the red fork.

I was so happy with how season one turned out, and I really hope they keep up that same level of quality with this season.
All this bloodshed could have been avoided only if Princess Rhaenys Targaryen would have killed them all with her dragon when she had them all in one spot.

Given the events described in Fire and Blood,I wonder if Rhaenyra will be playing a more active role in the war. Spoilers for anyone who hasn't read it but in the book Rhaenyra didn't do much. She just flew her dragon to Kings Landing and took over when it was basically defenseless and she had the help of Daemon and his dragon in doing it as well. She took part in none of the battles. Of course this could just have been written off as historical bias making it seem like she did little but it feels like if she truly did participate in any of the battles it would be a huge detail to leave out even in a "history book". I think given what the show is striving for she will perhaps take part in at least one battle.
My guess she will be more involved with the war in the show.
Well they have 13 dragons against 4, so she can as well just watch.
