Yeah, read the SJW articles about what a racist he was, and how he'd consider Aquaman a mongrel. To which i say: "Waaaahhhhh!!! Yes, he was mad racist. Yes, that taints his legacy, be he was still the godfather of cosmic horror. Enjoy the fucking movie, enjoy the easter eggs, and maybe - just MAYBE - for once, look at how far we've come as a society. A huge blockbuster about how only a mixed race king can unite us, starring a mixed race guy, and directed by a mixed race person, as well" I'm jsut happy that they gave Arthur a father that explains why he's Polynesian. What the fuck a Samoan or Hawaiian dude is doing on the cold-ass northern coast of New England... idk. But that is at least possible. Make his dad all Anglo, and that'd make no sense considering his mom is Nicky Kid-Man.
and now he inherits a people who hate him and their old justified loathing of us land lubbers. of course us humans treat him badly enough once they find out EXACTLY what happened with that massive tidal wave.
I absolutely loved that the pre-sunken Atlantis had steampunk style technology. This fits with the theories that the real life Mycenaean and Minoan Greeks. Atlantis which is believed to have been a Minoan city may have had some form of steam power. Plato and Herodotus both described what sounds like steam power to modern peoples. That seemed like a nice Easter Egg for history nerds.
The kingdom of the trench is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. There is a reference in the beginning of the movie. Call of Cathulu can be seen on the coffee table in the beginning.
im with yall there watched it with my family on christmas which my family and dont celebrate or any holidays for religious reasons but me my dad and eight of my siblings watched it and i was pretty much the only one who hated it cant say the same for everyone else
beautiful indeed. I had some minor issues with it, but a lot to be pleased about. The score for Kingdom of Atlantis was something from Blade Runner I swear and.. the visuals en route to Atlantis.. wow.
Yeah. I liked Jason Momoa since he was in Stargate Atlantis. Wait a sec. What a strange coincidence right? He was in SGA in Atlantis and now he is Aquaman in Atlantis.
I find him to be the DC version of Thor, they are both big, strong, dumb, but lovable royal-warriors who become kings after personal growth, and they both have edgelord brothers who they kick off the thrown for being too warmongering.
Here’s a brief summary of Aquaman: Boba Fett survived the Sarlac Pit and made his way to Earth were he met a Terran Kryptonian, had a son (the Little Merman), but lost his Kryptonian wife to Tom Cruze. Later on the Green Goblin trains The Little Merman, who eventually Goonies his way through National Treasure and Sahara with Johnny Dep’s wife, Pokémon’s a Kaiju, then Blood Sport’s his brother for the throne of Camelot. That was a damn fine movie!
My new favorite DC film, The designs for everything, the inside designs of the ships the armor designs the weapons designs all of it I absolutely love this movie!
i swear the Brine was inspired by Stephan Sejic's time on it, he drew great creatures. And I'd like to think the Deserters coexisted with the creatures of said Sahara Mangroves Basilosaurus and Arsinoitherium come to mind
Great Explained video as always, I also enjoyed Aquaman a great deal but had a few issues with it. that aside from that I'm glad to see Jason Momoa back in an Atlantis related role, Ronon Dex was his original Bad Ass role.
Batman: So, what do you do? Aquaman: I fight the villains of the oceans. Batman: I’ve never heard of any villains in the oceans. Aquaman: Yeah. Because I actually do my job.
CGI in this movie is insane. Dare I say it's way better then black panther's cgi even in the fights. Such a shame that black panther uses too much cgi for the final fight
As always a great video.havent seen the film but I always liked Jason momo or however u spell his name.he was good in Stargate Atlantis and G.O.T and he was good in justice league.
O shit you the man bro happy New Year hope to see more videos from you this year ! Also you should do a review of black manta in this movie and his character also like I've said before a bunch of times when they do the sequel to this movie black manta should be the main villain.
Whoa whoa whoa!!! Man of Steel AND BvS: Ultimate Cut was far from just spectacle. Both those films had a great deep impactful story and definitely had something to say. People just didn’t like how it was presented. Which I get but that doesn’t make it storyless. Man of Steel is still the best DCEU film for me personally.
5:01, wait a minute, so Aquaman travelled from Sicily to the Marinas Trench on a fucking fishing boat! How many days or weeks did they spent on that boat?
Hello any chance you hav a look at any other dinos from king kong percy jackson film. If not that another alien video would make my week. Much love my guy
The unnamed undersea kingdom introduced in Justice League is Xebel, not Atlantis. Xebel guards have gold-green armor and color scheme, as shown in both Justice League and Aquaman movies, thus it made sense Princess Mera of Xebel would be there to protect a motherbox located at outskirt Xebel. Atlantis guards have silver-blue armor and color scheme, completely different.
Still love to see the Hive explained from Destiny. I feel they fit in with all the weird aliens and religious creatures you have done. With their weird Hive sword logic.
After your Shin Gojira video, do you plan on covering the upcoming comic 'Godzilla Aftershock'? There are rumors of a new MUTO parasite being the antagonist so I don't know if you want to edit the 'MUTO's explained' video once it's out. Cool video as always.
The Brine's creatures are badass. Mofo crabs have the balls to fight against the combined forces of Atlantis
The movie would be a full 10 if the King of the Brine actually gave Oceanmaster a fight.
And usage lava as artillery
Spider-Man: Willam DaFoe
Aquaman: Willam DaDfriend
I just made the loudest sigh ever
Finally, that old joke can be used effectively.
Willem. No a it's an e
Jafar:jaclose
oh my god a dad joke. im laughing yet dying inside 😔😔😔
The Trench looks like something out of H.P. Lovecraft's nightmares!
Funny enough.. I thought I saw a H.P. Lovecraft novel on Thomas Curry's desk. Right when the camera pans into the miniature lighthouse.
Yeah they look wicked awesome!!!!
@@HragFarraGaming The Dunwich Horror! I saw it too!
That was the point.

I liked the Disney version of Atlantis too.
@@akumaking1
True that one was pretty good too.
*The Brine Kingdom Is My Favourite By Far*
I also fanboyed when I saw the lost kingdom was under there.
"Chaos at Earth's Core" was one of my favorite Justice League Unlimited episodes
I really liked this movie's lore. I especially loved the Lost Kingdom and Ocean Master having some prehistoric creatures.
The kingdom of the trench is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. There is a reference in the beginning of the movie. Call of Cathulu can be seen on the coffee table in the beginning.
It was the dunwich horror
The brine: SOUND THE BATTLE CRY
brine foot soldier: you got it boss
RADIO: * CRAB RAVE SONG*
4:34 Pirates of the Caribbean: Kingdom of the Trench? It could work.
Unpopular opinion: BirdBox is overhyped AF.
I agree man, it was pretty sucky
@@g0atboy207 thank you😤 I knew I wasn't the only one😂

That movie was garbage.
I didn't even know this movie existed until some random video on Yt. Then watched it and yeah didn't get very far.
Absolutely loved the film.😍😍😍

@@InquisitorBot Its my opinion. You didn't like it. It's yours.
He and mera not only did defeat black manta,
but also stopped orm the ocean master from destroying or conquering the surface world.
Lmao. They picked, the best guy to play Aquaman. "Something something trident." Best quote of 2019
Yeah. I liked Jason Momoa since he was in Stargate Atlantis.

That was a damn fine movie!
Shouldn't Atalantis first target be japan and not america? Or is japan protected by Godzilla?
Atlantis is in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Even if Atlantis were in the Pacific, why attack Japan!?
As for Godzilla... Yes, He protects the pets known as humans
Lol
Yes
No he doesn’t. Godzilla doesn’t give a crap about people. At least not the Legendary version
I really love the way they add more lore to the story than ever before tho.
His review at the end is perfect. I agree entirely.
Thanks Noah!
Under the sea...
darling it's better down where it's wetter
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Under the Sea is the Six Kingdoms of Atlantis,.Atlantis .Xebel.Fisherman.Brine.Trench.,and the Lost Bastion of The Hidden Sea Dinasor's!
I like the line about how the trench had become nothing but animals
My new favorite DC film, The designs for everything, the inside designs of the ships the armor designs the weapons designs all of it I absolutely love this movie!
I actually met him here in Milwaukee at the Harley Davidson museum... Really chilled dude
i swear the Brine was inspired by Stephan Sejic's time on it, he drew great creatures.

Aquaman is my favorite DCEU film! The best since Man of Steel!
Aquaman = Joke no more.
Aquaman = A real superhero to everyone.
Aquaman = New leader for the DCEU.
Thank Atlantis that I watched it and I was not disappointed.
I watched this with my parents and we loved it
Cool vid btw
i really like the worldbuilding in the aquaman movie and comics. i hope the sequel expands on this.
I hope Aquaman 2 comes out in 2022-23!! Fingers crossed!
James Wan made Aquaman great again!!

Batman: So, what do you do?
Aquaman: I fight the villains of the oceans.
Batman: I’ve never heard of any villains in the oceans.
Aquaman: Yeah. Because I actually do my job.
This film reminds me of Star Wars, Water World, Avatar, Indiana Jones, and Blade Runner!!
The Seven Kingdom's of Atlantis are known as The Atlantian Dynasty of The world 🌎🌍🌏🔱🏰 in DC Comics Universe🙌👍
Aquaman is one of the best superhero movies ever. I love everything about that movie.
Well done as always
CGI in this movie is insane. Dare I say it's way better then black panther's cgi even in the fights. Such a shame that black panther uses too much cgi for the final fight
I very much enjoyed the movie as well as your explanation of the Kingdoms. Nice video as per usual.

Atlas tomb is in the Mariana trench that isn't the last kingdom as well two kingdoms don't exist in the same spot
"Heh, show off!!! I could have peed on it!!!"
The ending battle was an incredible.
Advanced warfare? Manticore? Can't stop and won't stop
Loved how when aqua man came out with trident with the original clothes from the comic

My boy Niyat does it again.
I was confused after I saw the film but it all of a sudden started to grow on me exponentially after a day.
Hands down the best dc movie ever, well the second because wonder woman is the best first female superheroine In DC.
And that WW was A GOOD MOVIE with solid characters.
Man of steel wasn’t actually bad
It's ironic Aquaman the most ridiculed super hero is the savior of DC.
You mean that Aquaman the most ironic funny and the Most ridiculed super hero is the savior Atlantis and the World 🌎of D.C.Comics
