If you want to keep lice away use a tee tree oil and mint shampoo. If you have lice cover your head with teatree oil mixed in coconut oil then cover your head with a shower cap or grocery bag for 8 hours. Works every time. You may have to repeat in a week to be safe but after that you should be good. Fun fact: most bugs hate mint and tea tree oil (not just lice,) so they are a good thing to always have in the house.

It was this butt-length curls, and with the lice shampoo, there was no conditioner. So, all the wet curls, we just started combing it out. Re-wet it and go. Hours of crying. Hours of hearing this kid just try to hold it in and fail. He was trying to be gentle but hours of pulling this tiny metal comb that would tangle in the curls, the fine metal comb just ripping out swatches here & there. Fun fact if you ever get head lice. Something you can do is drench your hair in baby oil I mean absolutely soak every root to tip have the hair dripping with baby oil. Put a shower cap on. Let the oil sit for about 30 minutes. And then wash and brush them away. How It Works: Baby oil not only suffocates the lice but also makes the hair slippery making it difficult for the eggs to remain attached to the hair. It all combs right out

I had lice 5 times in elementary school because some kids just couldn't get rid of them.
Washing your hair with vinegar works wonders (and then brushing out all the dead beasts with a metal comb)

My mom and i went through her hair three seperate times with the metal comb, used the shampoo on her twice and then dyed it because it made the nits super shiny and also killed them too. They were gone after the treatment and luckily she was the only one with lice in our house.

Rubbing Alcohol and baby oil works best! They are extremely smart and will hide from you. The alcohol confuses them and makes them distorted. The baby oil makes your hair too slick and the can't hold on. You will also need a lice brush but that's it! Works great.

The day I got lice, my cousins from a different state came to visit my house after I had already gotten the lice. I had to shower then my mom put Mayo in my hair then wrapped it in aluminum foil and I had to sit inside BY MYSELF while I watched my cousins, mom, stepdad, and the rest of my family roast s’mores outside. I sat at the patio door for HOURS because I felt lonely, knowing I couldn’t hug my cousin. I didn’t even get to say hello or goodbye because she stayed in a hotel and left to go home the next morning.

I had to skip 2-3 days of school, and my mom literally soaked me in vinegar for like, 3 days until we were sure there was no more lice. When i got back to school, it was so humiliating to admit I had lice because everyone kept asking why I was absent for so long since I never skip school unless it's something that could affect others or if I'm literally dying😂

@@animangafan342 well it doesn't kill lice, just discourages them. All you do is just add like a teaspoon of lavender in total on your scalp and just sort of rub it in. It helps me, even tho I'm not the biggest fan of lavender.
Also it keeps away mosquitos so there's that
