Great video...great rider...great trail....thanks for the behind the scenes.....thanks for showing that brutal crash on the rocks! Wish I could walk (run) out of a crash like that. Nice work!
Wow...well done. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Jesse has mad skills and that’s why I root for him. Also the behind the scenes makes for a much more compelling video. Oooh and one more thing the crash was wicked. I especially like the don’t let my mom see that. 😬. So good.
Sameish rideing I've done quality bike helps with rideing but for me it's all about the feel of the paths I've had my fair share of hard tales korna un specialized.amazing video boy's✊❤️
Andi Susilo I have no idea, but you can pick from this video :) ruclips.net/video/TNizg4JUNc8/видео.html I have WTB STP i29 wheels with Novatec hubs. I quite like it but not as good as this one.
Jesse Melamed: Yeah I often don’t either. There really isn’t any good rationale for when I do or don’t. It’s a “feeling thing”. I’ve been damn glad I wore them for 2 crashes though. Love your loose style dude. You’re a hell of a rider. You remind me of a certain infamous Austrian alpine downhiller - (ski). He absolutely dominated the downhill for 4 World Cup seasons in a row. And took the 1976 Olympic gold in a race many consider the most amazing single run in history. He was out of control 3 times and almost crashed twice. In a sport where one small glitch usually keeps you off the podium he took gold to the utter amazement of everyone and in a way nobody. He crashed more than anyone and won more than anyone. Franz Klammer was balls to the wall every time out of the starting gate. At age 8 he was my hero :)
@@JesseMelamedMTB your elbows weren't injured in Val Di Fassa though. 😅 Kidding aside, you can't be too careful so a little extra protection on rougher terrains that warrants it wouldn't hurt. Pun intended 😁
21 PSI in front and 22 in the rear. Go much lower and one is risking punctures, higher and you will have a difficult time maintaining traction in that type of terrain!
Please tell Jesse that he should remove the metal plate from his collarbone. If he falls and breaks the collarbone again with that plate there it will be very complicated to fix.
"A little out of control, that's my style." Gots to love Jesse!!
Just calling it how it is!
By far the best Sound of speed! The trail is amazing, and Jesse is one of the most talented riders today.
"I was gonna manual all the way into it but that's too Cliche"... Yeah Jesse, me too, THAT'S why I don't manual into everything.
7:28 seems straightforward until the violence of that wreck says otherwise. #goproeffect Can't believe he just shook that off.
Best sound of speed I've ever seen
Sick! Thanks!
Amazing! Best edit I've seen in a while.
Thanks!
2:17 casual red flex, when your camera is more expensive than your car
Than your house tho
that audio though! I could practically smell the dirt lol
I think you are an MTB synesthete
Sound of Speed series has never let me down

What a place to ride! Very hard trail, scared rocks and corners! A real challenge!
Oooh year what a send.
Love watching this guy Jesse.
Holy the rocks were brutal
They multiply each year! I swear!
Great to see how this was recorded! Insane speed esp. with this last run.
The sound of the freehub smashing the small rock section is eargasm 😆
Could be a hydra, judging by the sound even when he is "slow"
@@n.m.8363 Its a RaceFace Vault hub.
So good!
Sick trail bro!

Beautiful trails! Sick skills! Extremely talented rider! Someone please explain why it’s called cop killer? Raw sound is the only way to go on a vid!
That was a GNARLY fall.
Love the freehub sound! Sounds like a bee is following him all the time...
What the brand that freehub? do you know?

Anyone know the on camera mic they were using?
It's a Rode NTG3
Rob Parkin cheers!
Nice instinct bc!
anyone else half speed that crash? damnnnnn
7:30 - great tuck and roll. And lucky. “Don’t show my mom.” Is not wearing elbow pads a thing with these pro riders lol?
Comfort? It's just for filming and he's not full on race mode but still, accidents happen.
@@lamefart True!
I always tell myself to start wearing elbow pads...it hasn't happened yet.

someone will tell me how these wheels withstand? what pressure do they use on such routes?
maybe lower pressures + cushcore?
Tire inserts, Double Down or DH Casing - 1,5 Bar Front 1,7 Bar Rear

Woah.
Pros don't need elbow pads ... proof @7:28 ... watching this made me realize I'm not riding my Rocky hard enough ;)
Looks like they don't need protection at all - except a helmet.
Goddam that was a gnarly crash
That bike looks so big.
Anybody know why his stage helmet is gloss instead of matte?
Jay1171 he’s sponsored by Smith and Raceface so he’s using an unbranded Stages with Rocky Mountain/ Raceface team paint.
Snod Ryder oh ok thank you
Skillz
You good rider.
Best bhot hard
I wish our trail would look this empty. Our trail became dog park due to Covid. Lol
that crash.. how did you not break stuff..
0:08 helmet name pls??
I think is troy lee designs.

What's up with the noise at 1:00
Do you mean the nose bonk?
@@RobParkinVideo no the whole shot in general sounds like the noise was recorded in a echo chamber or something.
200000mph
Are you riding a slayer?
Instinct BC. sure seems like the slayer would be the slightly better tool, it would be for a mortal like me on that trail.
Wowwww
