Okay, Fu Pei is really getting on my nerves. He kept blowing her off to go play basketball and video games and now that there's someone who is actually paying attention to her and supporting her, he suddenly remembers to be interested in her. I think we've all built our ship already and even their moms are on it. EDIT: I came back to rewatch after a long while and I'm a little surprised by some of the reactions to this comment. Please remember that people are allowed to have opinions on the characters and their actions. That's what the cast and crew want: they want the audience to feel strongly. The actors want you to feel strongly, even if you don't like the character because it means they are doing their job well. I'm saying this from experience as someone who has worked in film, tv and theatre for 15 years. Just because I did not like the character's actions at this point ( he was gaslighting someone who is at the very least a friend), doesn't mean I dislike the actor and neither does it mean that anyone who agreed with me dislikes the actor. I actually have liked watching the work I've seen that Daddi Tang has done. He was also really good playing a character who is completely different in "My Little Happiness". Anyway, enjoy the rest of the drama new viewers and everybody coming back to rewatch.
For those who were wondering about why Fu Pei was wearing the green basket on his head, there's a saying in Chinese called "Wearing the green hat." It basically means the person who wears it was cheated on. Because Fu Pei thought that he had Mo Mo as Gu Wei Yi kept on denying his love towards Mo Mo, FP thought he had a chance. However, seeing those two together sealed the deal and made Fu Pei turn against the two. What makes this situation interesting is that because Fu Pei did not properly reciprocate/say outright Mo Mo's love, he does not truly have the right to wear the "green hat" as he was never together with her. Hope that clears things up for the international watchers out there! This is such a good series, I'm so ready for the future episodes :D

I don't care about FP's feelings.He strings along Momo when HE needs her. When SHE needs him he's playing basketball or videogames and makes someone else go in his place. I love the relationship development between Momo and Gu Mei. Slow burn. It's fantastic. I love this drama.
Can I just praise the actress for not doing the whole "pretty crying" thing that I've seen in some dramas, the way she cries actually shows her emotions and not how pretty the tears slowly rolling down her face are.

I really like Gu Wei Yi's personality. In most dramas, the male lead is always very cold to everyone. But in this drama Gu Wei Yi is really warm and sweet, it's just that he doesn't really open up to others that much
Exactly. The most common lead type is cold,smart,very popular and handsome and a rude jerk who "ChaNgeS" because of a girl while the fl is bubbly,mediocre looking,unpopular...it feels refreshing to see a different type of main characters. I love how they didn't change themselves for eachother :)
I just love how I don't only like them as a pairing. But I like the two of them as their own person, them as an individual is already so amazing and I feel like they really suit each other. With all the flaws they have, I feel like this is the best pairing I've watched in any cdrama.I tend to get annoyed with annoying clingy female lead and a cold-hearted jerky arrogant male lead but they are not both. They are perfect in their own way and I am loving it so much.

I think it is more because of respect towards his room mate, especially since it is obvious that she has not gotten over FP yet. It is not appropriate to pursue a buddy's woman, FP's treatment towards her is rather ambiguous. He doesn't want to let her go but he doesn't treat her well either, he never treat her like a Girlfriend. He even flirts around infront of her, GWY's personality is not bold, so it will be out of character to be shamelessly pursuing her in this circumstance. He might dare to make a move if she doesn't yearn for FP's affection anymore... If it was the other way around, a type of man like FP might have boldly and shamelessly pursuing the girl even if she is still not getting over her past crush yet.
Cuz you see there were one scene where they ride bicycle and just go right past each other but the boy looked back to see the girl and the girl didn’t seems like she didn’t even know the boy yet.
Lesson learned for Fu Pei, treasure everything while you still have it. Give her the attention and appreciation that she deserves before someone else does. Before someone else sees her worth and give her what she deserves.

During this time when I watched drama and there was a misunderstanding part, I always think "ah ... what's so hard about giving an explanation? Everything should be clear, right?" But for the first time when the green hat thing's part came out, I understand the term "sometimes it'll be useless if we try to explain something. And we don't have to"
If I was her, I wouldn't bother to explain either. I would have been pissed off if she was just silently accepting the accusation without saying anything and cry infront of him begging for forgiveness or trying to explain desperately like the typical drama plot. At least she had questioned him back, what kind of relationship they actually had and what she was supposed to do based on that. But if it was me, I would have simply said straightforwardly that he had no right to even question her. They are not dating. She never question him either when he was flirting around with girls in front of her. He said once that he wanted them to date in college but it was already cancelled anyway. He even told everyone that they are just friend, so what right does he have to demand her explanation? He can flirts around, so can she. He never explain anything to her either about his girls, so why should she tell him about her private issues? Ridiculous. I know she still likes him and feel hurt by his accusation, but exactly because of that, if I was STM, my dignity wouldn't allow me to let him trample upon it. During this time when I watched drama and there was a misunderstanding part, I always think "ah ... what's so hard about giving an explanation? Everything should be clear, right?"

If I was her, I wouldn't bother to explain either. I would have been pissed off if she was just silently accepting the accusation without saying anything and cry infront of him begging for forgiveness or trying to explain desperately like the typical drama plot.
