As far as i know, Belarus is a very interesting country, with great rivers and forests; the surviving monuments are well preserved and restored.
After two days here in Minsk - Belarus is *GORGEOUS!!* The people are all *very* nice, kind and helpful and - yes, Language communication *is* pretty difficult, _however_ the *only REAL* minus to being here is the lack of Vegan stuff - we Vegans can almost _starve_ at places like Nemira street in Minsk... 😢

Hi what you said is only a little of how Belarus suffered during the war. No other country suffered as much as Belarus in the war with 3 in every ten people being killed. This gives people a great soul knowing what it is like to suffer. Thanks again for showing great pride for your country Anfisa

Some of the nicest people I met here are on holiday from Belarus.
I'd like to visit one day after the war ends.
Not only it is clean but it is also safe. There is little to no crime (no graffiti for instance). However, there needs to be improvement in terms of dealing with tourists. Customer service is not always good (especially the farther out you get from Minsk) and sometimes accommodations aren't the best. But overall it is a great country with a lot of things to do and experience (monuments, museums, nature, culture, history, people, food,...). It is also still affordable compared to other destinations like Turkey and Dubai. I'd go back as soon as the political situation in that region improves.

That is all part of the charm of going to Belarus. I love getting out into the towns and villages away from the capital and seeing the real Belarus. Osipovichi is my favourite place.

If you have never been to Belarus, then you have no business making statements about whether its a nice country to visit. I have been there twice already. I would go again if it was not so difficult for Americans to go with the current political climate. I absolutely loved my time in Minsk visiting with my wife. Hope to see it again someday under much better circumstances.

I think there’s a significant amount to see for a country that was absolutely ravaged by so many years of awful war and being underneath the Soviets.
My one issue is…I’m not sure how free you are to speak there.
Possibly the most free country in Europe during the ‘no lockdown Belarus period’ 2020-22.

There were fascinating videos showing the history of Belarus from yourself and your friend Irish Partizan. This was during the period when the rest of Europe was in lockdown and Belarus wasn’t.
Tours showing places involving the Grande Armee of Napoleon’s invading force in 1812 for example
Great looking nightlife too 👌 and historical castles. Yet to see a video of the Belarus Bison though.

Sometimes 😅 I remember how I struggled to buy food in Galeria! And in the stores, they were rude and didn't want to answer in English.. I still remember face of this silly guy) How could such people can work in such places .. Service sector sucks in Belarus.. It was same in the hotel. So, first learn Russian, then travel to Belarus 😅

Belarus looks like a typical Soviet country, if you have visit one Soviet country, you'll have a good idea of how Belarus looks. Baku, Kiev, Minsk, they all look pretty much the same. Belarus is a safe country, you can visit it to see how life is different from the west, compare laws, prices, etc.
I would love to move to Belarus, but I wonder what kind of jobs exists there? I'm a fiber technician & Car manufacturer.
No doubt Belarus is a great country. The only negative aspect is, it is not open to outsiders for jobs like others. If anybody planning settle there, he must invest for business there.
I think the main problem here is language, you have to speak Russian if you want to work in Belarus in majority of cases
