If you contacted Gerber they would replace the multitools. I know because they sent me 2 as replacements for 2 broken ones i had. One was over 25 years old. It was during covid so i didn't even send them in, just sent a picture. I was impressed. I know this video is over a year old but just advice for the future.
You hit the jackpot with the Swiss army knives!!! And now you've got a top-notch Leatherman Micra collection too! 😂 This was fun to watch, buddy. Cheers!
Love that Bever Wenger knife! Bever (beaver) is a chain of outdoor shops here in the Netherlands. Wenger no longer exists, it was bought by Victorinox.
The little stainless knives like the Lutheran Advertising knife towards the end, my dad carried one of those when I was a kid (1960s). They were the SAK of its day; small knife, nail file and cleaner and bottle opener/ standard screwdriver. My brother and I each found one when clearing his effects. Like having him with us.
Thanks for sharing that touching story partner, Many times on this channel my viewers see knives that take them back in time to cherished memories with loved ones. I love this community :)
Some more cool stuff! I've had a micra for many years and the key chain hole is folded up in the tool set. I can't remember which tools its between but it's there. Great video 👍
Such luck of the draw! I've seen multiple lots of TSA knives being opened in videos recently, and this is the only one that had any Leathermans, any Victorinoxes, and any usable Gerbers - and there were multiples of each here. Such outlier luck is hard to believe.
Hey Detector you know you can find some gems in there boxes!!!! Even if you get a couple good ones!!!! My package is on the way I just shipped it!!!! Stay well my friend
Hey Pete, your package got here today, I’m probably going to do a video when I open it. I am wondering if that “Pass around knife” is in there too. Thank you so much partner!!! I can’t wait to see what’s inside!
I litteraly jumped in joy when I saw the Zachary one. I've been looking for a Zachary swiss. damn I bet you probably don't have it still either, wonderful video still brother man
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 Interesting verse to put on a pocket knife
That camo knife you you picked up after that spyderco knock off as you called it lol Is a ozark trail knife from Walmart it’s about a $4 knife and made with very bad steel
Keep your folding boxcutter. Dunk it in half vinegar half water for a day, then dry it thoroughly and wet it with oil. I'd kill for one of those. I hate the standard box cutter
Pretty good. I'd keep the large and small gerber multitools, one of the micras, the climber and the yellow victorinox classic. That would be a present to myself. Throw out the broken ones. The rest with a little vinagar on rust, some goo gone, oil etc. and you could yard sale and turn a profit easy. Celidor scales on victorinoxes: I polish them with super fine automotive sandpaper, like 3000 grit, then polish with flitz or plastic polish. Makes them like new. Thats what I would do with that yellow victorinox with the gum. Automotive sandpapers of like 5000 to 10000 grit polish metals too to a mirror if you want. Just practice on a cheap knife and of course don't get cut. Thanks for the great video. The wenger is special because they don't make them anymore and they are collectable and the bever thing is unique.
I may have missed it, but what did the box cost you? (I counted easily over $180 in very fast, quick, resale items, plus probably another $50-$75 in grouped lots - probably increase those numbers by about a third if you took your time selling the items) - The Gerber in the pouch and the Micro-Leatherman by themselves would bring around $60-$70 in a fast sale) Also - My sister used to work for the Secret Service and then transferred to the GSA when she was close to retirement, which at the time reviewed the TSA confiscations (not sure if they still do or not) She said while the TSA were not supposed to keep anything, many of the really select items become "missing" from the confiscation boxes. (Even though the TSA agents could be terminated if they got caught taking anything). - They ran tests with agents going through security lines with micro-stamped cutlery. (To see if the TSA found the items, and then also to review the confiscation box to make sure it was in there when the items were sent out for resale.)
Keep in mind, a majority of people don't carry a knife. It's easy to judge, as I do myself, but an Ozark Trail is 100x better than no knife in your pocket.
You could save all those good knives that are broken and if you get one that only needs a piece or 2 you could repair it or get in with someone else that will fix them. JS
The bever knife is a Swiss knife , you can always see that on the swish brand (the white cross) 😉Swiss army knives😅😅and the green ammy knife with the fixed ring is a knife for a weapon (one you put in front of your weapon) out of date😉
My wife was going through flight school. She keeps a leatherman multi tool in her flight bag.. she flew into pensacola and her plane was having problems and needed to go into maintenance. Tsa forced her to throw away a 150 dollar tool for her flying.. didnt even offer or give the cance to check her bag instead of carry on.. we all know good and damned well tsa picked that outta the trash and pocketed it
The knife @ 18:50 looks like a hidden automatic. The front top of the insert on the opposite side of the clip if you push on it it should open automatically. Although there are cheap knives with the same design that are not auto knives.
Keep the Japanese made knife those are actually really expensive and are made to last. Any metal made knife from japan are good quality knives! Same with tools!
Instead of throwing away knifes it would be better to use the metal parts of knifes to make creations perhaps interesting knew knifes or metal sculptures
3 autos that's funny. You aren't allowed to sell autos on Ebay. I have a decent collection of tsa box autos from my gov surplus boxes cause I can't do anything with them.
You would have to call the TSA airline in a large city. The largest cities have regular auctions. Some of them may even have online auctions where you can bid on items, but you would have to pick it up in person, or they sometimes mail the auction items as well to the winner.
The Leatherman Micra please please please please please I would like to buy the lettermen the micro instead of the camp King please the Leatherman micro I'm begging you
What a joke. They always take the good stuff, Benchmade, Buck, Leatherman, out, and sell them separately. Leatherman micras are a dime a dozen. Dont pay alot for these boxes, you will never get your money back.
That BEVER Wenger is a Wenger Highlander, it’s actually from the 2000’s near the end of Wenger life! Very very nice catch!!
Thanks partner!! I didn’t know that☝️
It has the logo and name on it from a dutch outdoor/camping shop
If you contacted Gerber they would replace the multitools. I know because they sent me 2 as replacements for 2 broken ones i had. One was over 25 years old. Thanks partner!!
Oh yeah homie. That little Micra is top notch.
Wow, what a spectacle. Well done. Oh the humanity.
:)
Love that Bever Wenger knife! Bever (beaver) is a chain of outdoor shops here in the Netherlands. Wenger no longer exists, it was bought by Victorinox.
🇳🇱👍🖐
Leuk mes
This has got to be the only time I've ever seen a Benchmade in one of these boxes.
Bever is an outdoor shop from the Netherlands.I buy stuf there all the time.
Some Leathermans and a Wenger, you scored, KD!
And a green Victorinox.
I hope that's 'gum' on the yellow Vic too :)
He did very well!
might have been spermatoza.
I always wondered what happened to my knife.

It’s so entertaining to watch you go through this box! Thanks for sharing this! You’ve got some gems in there!
Thanks partner!!!
Just wow, man! In Micras and Victorinoxes you got your $'s worth! Great knife-by-the-pound videos! Thanks for showing off your score!!
I got another standouts video coming soon. Thanks buddy!!
@@KnifeDetector oh, I'm going to be there for thar one!
Bever is a outdoorshop in the Netherlands. Bever means: beaver.
Thanks partner!!
Great video, I loved watching this! I wish I had a box like that full of knives
The suspense! Interesting to see what comes in one of these boxes. You definitely found treasure, but there’s a whole lot of junk to deal with.
Yes, plenty of junk. I’m going to try to make functional knives from knives that are broken or missing parts
that zues energy to create! Damn big dawg!@@KnifeDetector
Lol....its so rad we can hamg out and watch him go through a big cardboard box of knives....what a niche crowd...
That's awesome. Makes me want to get a box myself!
What An Amazing Collection Of Pocket Knives And Multi Tools!
Some more cool stuff! I've had a micra for many years and the key chain hole is folded up in the tool set. I can't remember which tools its between but it's there. Great video 👍
Thanks buddy!!
Wow! you found a lot of goodies in your box. You have a lot of work to do too. It will keep you busy for a long time. 🔎 💰🔪🔍🙂
Yup this is true!!!
Such luck of the draw!
I've seen multiple lots of TSA knives being opened in videos recently, and this is the only one that had any Leathermans, any Victorinoxes, and any usable Gerbers - and there were multiples of each here.

the wenger wich says “bever” Dutch for beaver, is probably bought in Holland in the “bever outdoor shops”
Hey Detector you know you can find some gems in there boxes!!!! Even if you get a couple good ones!!!! My package is on the way I just shipped it!!!! Stay well my friend
😂

Older japan knives are going up in value. Those are vintage now.
Watching this makes me want to get in trouble with my wife shopping on eBay.
damn big dawg I have been on ebay a lot recently too.
Bever is the name of a Dutch outdoor camping store
Cool, thanks for the info partner 👍
I litteraly jumped in joy when I saw the Zachary one. I've been looking for a Zachary swiss. damn I bet you probably don't have it still either, wonderful video still brother man
Wow you got a lot of great knives!
Thanks partner!! I got lucky.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Interesting verse to put on a pocket knife
Some pretty good stuff mixed in with a lot of not so good stuff. Overall pretty good 👍
Would actually love that wooden superknife!
Very fun video and you hit the jackpot on SAKs
Oh yes I did :)
That was a decent selection from all 3 videos. I wish the police would sell them like that over here in the UK. Somehow, i don't think so.
I live in Texas, so, it’s the “Wild West” Over here 😀
That camo knife you you picked up after that spyderco knock off as you called it lol

Looks like we share a lot of the same thoughts here buddy! I pretty much did what you said :)
You know they snagged all the high dollar ones from that box.
At 12:08 are we just not gonna mention the open knife at the back of the box?
I am gonna need to try this out!!!
Leatherman don't have key rings usually because they come in a case.
How do you clean the knives? I wonder if an ultrasound cleaner would be useful.
Really nice haul enjoyed seeing it.atb paddy
Thanks Paddy!!

About 100 bucks or less I think
It’s interesting what kind of junk people will carry in their pockets

I have sent a Gerber used up multitool back to Gerber and received a new one back.
The bever knife is a Swiss knife , you can always see that on the swish brand (the white cross) 😉Swiss army knives😅😅and the green ammy knife with the fixed ring is a knife for a weapon (one you put in front of your weapon) out of date😉

The mini Smith & Wesson S.W.A.T was a hidden automatic but the cheap Frost cutlery ones are just junk.
A year too late, but boiling rust will produce a browned finish, it’s a great choice for rusted knives you don’t want to dedicate real time to fixing.
You did good buddy
Thanks amigo!!
But you know that every Victorinox has a lifetime warranty?! If you send it to Switzerland they will repair or replace every broken Vic you have!
Leatherman micras are awesome
Knife nerd! I have Kershaw. Holds up well after years.
i know this is late but those multitools could probably be given to homeless people , cut the large blade off if it bothers you
14:07 I'm pretty sure you could have sent the gerber short cut with he warranty and they would have fixed it for you
That serrated gray handle knife is a ozark trail, I have that same knife
I'm sorry, sending my condolences lol
Thought you'd find John Wick's pencil in there 😂
😁
I wanted to see the green handle black clip knife under your hands at 14:21, it shifted and got buried and wasnt included in the review
That was a good lot!
He definitely did well!😮
For sure the Victorinox knives alone was great never mind the leaterman's
Yup, it feels good to win one :)
That’s where my Swiss army went!
😀
Keep the Japanese made knife those are actually really expensive and are made to last. Any metal made knife from japan are good quality knives! Same with tools!
this is fun
Very Knife!
4:06 that was an ozark trail knife
cool❤❤
1:01 I have that exact knife no idea what it is either real solid tho
Leatherman micra £50 each
Victorinox SD £15 each
Just on those you made your money back easily!
Instead of throwing away knifes it would be better to use the metal parts of knifes to make creations perhaps interesting knew knifes or metal sculptures
Those look more like Jail Confiscations than TSA Confiscations.
:)
Keep the gerber. Split it into 2 knives
3 autos that's funny. You aren't allowed to sell autos on Ebay. I have a decent collection of tsa box autos from my gov surplus boxes cause I can't do anything with them.
Trueutility aren’t generic but that wouldn’t be worth a lot to resell
im a knife hoarder so im just pour that whole box into a nicer box 🤣🤣
i do not understand loosing a box cutter to tsa. just chuck the utility blade and it is no longer a knife.
So this is what's left after tsa picks through the good stuff
you know it
The one has a lifetime warranty on it and u just threw it away man I would have loved it oh well
surprized no buck knives
How much in total did you pay for this box?
I can’t remember, I think it was about 100 bucks
❤s
Are you going to let us know if the gum was still good. You just scored a leatherman and Classic SD collection!
Lol!! I scraped that gum off with my fingernail:)
what seller did you by it from?
It was a while back, and I don’t think that seller is active anymore, sorry.
@@KnifeDetector Do you know how to find that many Knives or how they get the Knives from TSA?
You would have to call the TSA airline in a large city. The largest cities have regular auctions. Some of them may even have online auctions where you can bid on items, but you would have to pick it up in person, or they sometimes mail the auction items as well to the winner.
@@KnifeDetector Thank you!
@@KnifeDetector I am definitely watching you videos
Why throw them away when there are a lot of people that buy broken knives and fix them, or use the parts for repair. Please don't use WD-40
Leatherman Micra is way more than 15 bucks
Feel free to send me the garbage ones lol I’d gladly take them
You can cannibalize the gerber and save some of the working pieces
Good idea 👍
Why are people carrying broken knives...
The Leatherman Micra please please please please please I would like to buy the lettermen the micro instead of the camp King please the Leatherman micro I'm begging you
Sorry buddy, this video was a while back, most of these have been sold :(
can i please have a leatherman micra
who takes a box cutter to an airport?
Ha, ha, ha, yup, I hadn’t thought of that :)
What a joke. They always take the good stuff, Benchmade, Buck, Leatherman, out, and sell them separately. Leatherman micras are a dime a dozen. Dont pay alot for these boxes, you will never get your money back.
Waist my time with a box of trash
