Farer was my first foray into my watch addiction, for some reason Google thought I might like watches in 2018 when I really wasn't , but they hooked me with the styles and colors...so I guess i have them to thank for a lot ( of spending) I really would say that now that I've experienced a lot of watches since then, the quality to money spent ratio they offer is one of the highest out there. I love them!
Farer and Christopher Ward are my favorite brands in the below 4k price category. Both make good quality watches with great designs and acceptable pricing. Thank you Evan for finally reviewing Farer.
@@jacobt1027 you're not weird at all, it's a matter of taste. And I don't know if you see these brands in person or not, but that can help you decide better. Seiko makes beautiful watches too, but the quality is not the same with Swiss made watches in the same price category from what I've experienced. Personally I prefer Citizen over Seiko, if I want to buy from big brands on a budget.
Your shots never get old. Love the witty tone in all your videos. And since you only upload when you actually have something to share, viewers value your opinions way more than other mill-style channels…..just sucks you keep your wrist size a secret, could really elevate your content
Farer is great! I have owned watches from Rolex to JLC, Omega etc and the list goes on. My Farer is by far one of my favorite watches. They aren't for everyone but for those that can appreciate the use of colors nobody does it better. They are amazing value for money and in my opinion easily more enjoyable than other brands in the entry'ish level such as Oris etc.
Good review. I especially appreciate you mentioned the Tonneau's accuracy, I have read and watched a few reviews and you are the only one who mentioned it. I was hoping it would be a bit more accurate especially with a sw300 movement. Oh yeah "un-unaffordable" and "differenter" made me laugh. As for the warranty I think that's a huge plus IMO, as I absolutely keep watches longer than 5 years. Perhaps you haven't found "the one" ;) Cheers!
I bought No 050 in the Chalcot series. Having watched your review, I checked my sundial printing, and it does indeed appear to be slightly off to the left. A little annoying! However, I can’t see it with the naked eye
I've owned three Farers and all of them were lovely but none of them kept my attention for long. They seem to have a fascia of great use of colours, interesting design and quality of build but lack that something that wants me to keep putting it on my wrist rather than putting it on ebay.
What sold me was that you can pick your limited edition number. I know it sounds weird but I picked 110 as my son was born on Jan 10. Bought London #110 for myself for upcoming Father’s Day!
I picked up the Farer Fairford two years ago and love it. Pretty understated for Farer, and quartz so clearly terrible, but with an ETA split seconds chrono inside and an..... alien panda dial.....? Its black and white..... and baby blue and orange. Its just a well made, well spec'd wearable, solid watch. Super reliable and versatile.
They can pick some interesting movements too. Like that split-second fly back mecha-quartz the previous couple of years had above-average accuracy. But this year it’s the La Joux Perret movement that has my eyes perked up. This could be the evolution that gets people off ETA 2824s and Sellita SW200s. For one benefit, longer power reserve. I’m testing one at the moment.
Great review and an amazing looking set of watches. The London should have some lume. I’m not sure how much that would add to the total cost, but it would be worth my beautiful, hard earned USD. Wait, my watch just went back 4 seconds…..
What watch can't you pull off Evan?! Hope you are doing great and thanks for the great review! As always, say the word and would love to connect! Cheers, Ben
I'd highly encourage checking out bravur's chronographs for a more unique design proposition. Farer's chrono is far too reminiscent of the studio underdog offering.. *raised eyebrow*
(I believe) "seconds" is an English term for the second plate/meal, secondary course etc (not quite sure, not my language) four = for it goes back four seconds = it goes back for more food
@@MartinClimbsa bit more like « a second helping/serving » of food, which is shortened to « seconds. » Applies to any course of the meal or platter on the table. We say, « Anyone want seconds? /Can I have seconds? » etc. At least in American English; don’t know about British....
I kinda prefer these to Nomos actually. I know movement and all but still. They don't look as sterile and boring as Nomos. And from tonneau - Paris is boring (matter of fact as the city itself!), give me London or Milan ;) And by the way, Louis Erard sells watches with elabore level of the same movement for 3 times the price. So kudos!
I wish someone would show how these look on a 7" wrist.
I have a 6.25” wrist. I have the Milan and love it.
Pics on website vs wrist size

“Tonneau” means barrel in French, given the barrel shape of the case.
In case you didn'tonneau.
😂
Thats good tonneau!?
Always wanted tonneau that
I've always wondered this

idk if I'm weird but despite all the cool new microbrands i still love seiko in the $1000 and under range

Was really my pleasure.
Ive got the Milan and it's very well finished. The green face has more glassy shine than I'd expected, almost ceramic, it's quite elegant.
Nicely done
I’ve got the London…delighted with it. Really well finished, and so much of interest visually, despite being no more than a 2-hander.

Farer, Baltic, and Christopher Ward are killing it right now.
And Nomos
@@ltemerpoc Nomos has always been kill it. They’ve been around for a bit longer, too.

What watches are you wearing now?
Very cool and underrated!!
Would go Farer before CW tbh

I LOVE mechanical watches that do not have a seconds hand. I don’t know how you know if it’s ticking, but it looks so clean.

The jokes in this video made me subscribe. The rest of the content is great too. Thanks for showing off the Chalcot, especially on wrist. Very useful.
Finally, the bastard love child of a Heuer Skipper and Autavia that I’ve been waiting for. Thanks Farer
What are your thoughts on the after service for Farer.. lots of reviews suggest that’s not great?
Thanks for the video!
Love this brands design language and color schemes and their dimensions are on point.
Did you ever take a look at Bravur Grand Tour watches? I feel like they got a similar vibe and I would love your opinion on them
Yes they are more original designs for sure.. very unique offerings
Farer was my first real microbrand. The pink Lander is dope. Very cool summer watch and GMT.
I love the Roche. I got one this year used but barely.
Watches, a great review and an American using the metric system: three reasons to like this video 👍
Please do one on the new Aqua Compressor from Farer. They seem to be pulling the stops out and producing really classy watches in comparison to CW.

Farer is cool, they know how to have some fun with their designs and color pallets.
Gosh I think that Tonneau is a miss. Just reminds me of something in the pyramid stack of watches at Famous Barr (for the oldies).
Hey Evan, thanks for giving us your opinion on Farer. Informative and entertaining as always. Now, if we could just get your take on Direnzo....🤔
A friend owns one. I like what I've seen so far.
Really like these.
.....wrist size?
I expect even my budget watches to last years and years!
A tonneau chronograph and now we're talking.

Tonneau is great but I wish it had a seconds hand!
I didn't get the joke at the end. Can somebody explain?
(I believe)
"seconds" is an English term for the second plate/meal, secondary course etc (not quite sure, not my language)
four = for
it goes back four seconds =
it goes back for more food

Your watch joke is my new favorite
Getting Tonneau you,
Getting Tonneau all about youuu..
Your wrist is seven,
Seven inches, like meeee….

Both killer offerings well done farer
Farer is hands down the best micro-brand... not even a close second.
what's the point if you can't watch the sweeping hand..............
might as well have been quarts
Don't be sorry that was a good one 😂
For the price it needs to be accurate. I have a PT5000 that is £200 and +2 seconds a day
I didn' tonneau there would be puns!
👌👍⌚
Kings of colo(u)r 🌈!
in case you didn't Ton'neau
Maybe first?
Maybe
I'm watching Farer - Tonneau & Chrono-Contempo --so?
Sending one that misaligned to an influencer…. Ugh.

Too expensive for a microbrand when there are many of the same quality but cheaper 👎
