Fantastic! My only suggestion is you can offer a siphoning tube built into a cap that could be screwed into the opening. That way it will help to make it easy to access water and keep contaminants out of the water. Good work!
One can also use, rubber from obsolete Tires to cover the drum from outside, to increase durability of drum, providing shock observer effect and re-use the useless, un-bio-degradable Rubber tires !
I like the idea, but I would rather use a bio-degradable alternative. Tried are so toxic that they should be recycled in a safe way. Greetings Biowohnlich
IS THIS STILL ONGOING ? MAY A LICENCE BE BOUGHT TO MANUFACTURE IN JAMAICA? I LIKE THE USE OF RUBBER TYRE STRIPS TO SAVE ON BARREL WEAR AND PREVENT MICROPLASTICS SHEDDING...
He is just using a small model to show how it works. They are actually hold enough water for several days for a family of 4. These are positively amazing. I just wonder why it took so long for someone to come up with idea. I lived in Kenya in the 70's and we had a well. However, we allowed everyone to use it but they all had to carry the water on their heads. There was no other way.
Great Grandma Ginny hello.we're a group of engineering students , and we're trying to bring this idea to life in our country as a part of a community project, I have never encountered a person who has used the wheel before. So can I ask you a couple of questions about its usability ?
Hi Askia White, without doubting the many advantages of the roller, I would like to ask what type of plastic the roller is made from ? In other words, did you consider or how did/do you tackle the downside of the technology, which likely is that the strong mechanical forces during rolling on the ground rub offs of a lot of microplastic (similar to tire wear) whereby releasing it into the environment ? Green greetings from Germany, Biowohnlich
Simply too heavy. How can this be controlled when going downhill ? Uphill ? By the elderly ( grandmothers, as mentioned ), by a CHILD, the heavily pregnant ! etc. The 30 liter size has been used by UK caravaners for decades. We all just want to help. Why not make these in the 30 liter size ?
I think i know how to increase production capacity in your important work. Check out this youtube sight: SRB 100 HDPE 100l 120 Litre Plastic Barrel Drum Jerry Can Large Extrusion Blow Molding Making Machine

Concept of siphoning tube helped me to improvise my prototype..tks
Love this maybe some rubber on the outside like tire tread to handle the rough Rocky dessert terrain?
Great idea
Real life saver ! One thing came to my mind immediately though. Have you tested pulling it with a bicycle ?
Thanks for the comment! Great idea...www.flickr.com/photos/hipporoller/28748865646/in/dateposted-public/
KISS brilliance!

If you want it to be lighter, just fill it half full instead of all the way full!

agreed.
Where can we buy these in Singapore?
The Africans made this as he stated in the early minutes of the clip
This idea is not new. Most British-made caravans have it allready for years!
hnritube12 How about you pay attention to when the video was posted.
@@1halnass Used for caravans for decades!!
that is useless, why are they made so small, are they meant for people or ants?!
You did see the *actuall* drum, right?
(You're looking at the model...)
