It is clear that a new approach to baboon management is needed in the Western Cape. These baboons are not only magnificent, sentient beings, they are also an important part of ecology of our fynbos. It really is time for humans to start learning to live in harmony with the many species that inhabit this planet. Life doesn't revolve around us, we are simply one small part of the whole. Our arrogance will be our downfall.
A new team of nature loving the earth worriors have been awarded the baboon monitoring contract, so just know soon our precious counterparts will be in coexistence with us and not coerced into becoming Savages to survive.. - I may not mention who as it is yet to be made publicly known, agreements and contracts being finalized
@@solotudemusic6337thanks, it is already known: www.constantiabergbulletin.co.za/news/new-heads-to-manage-baboons Just hope it's not too late for Kataza.
Convenient to hide the true reason why Kataza was moved from Kommetjie: HWS grabbed the wrong primate. It was not Kataza that was raiding. Take him back to his troop and clan. Can man (not always)-kind when choosing to living and sharing baboon turf, learn to manage their home-safety measures to avoid raiding, or not live in the South Peninsula. We have the unique privilege to live so close to nature and so near to cosmopolitan Cape Town... respect and let´s live in harmony. Immagine the whimpering of abuse if Chief HWS and DA Councillor got that kind of treatment because others did not agree... in fact society would assure their non-diligence would cost them removal from office! Twists of humanity, sway like the wind to suit those in charge. Sickening :-(
Take Kataza back to his old troop, it is pointless that he is sleeping at a petrol service station everyday. They are social animals and he is looking for his troop
It's sickening that humans are way, way overpopulated and constantly invading the natural habitat of our wildlife, and then the animals are blamed for venturing back through their natural territory. We should all be seriously discussing population control for humans, instead of torturing animals like this!
