I am an elderly scale model builder that now takes much longer to complete projects than in my younger days. I have been watching your model building videos and tips for quite a while and find them very informative and fascinating. Thank you so much for all your efforts. I have been building a 1/350 scale model of CV6 USS Enterprise for over 2 years and was stumped by the tiny Oerlikon guns provided by the kit. I tried some after market photo etch but my eyesight cannot handle those tiny parts. You came to my rescue with your 3-D printed 1/350 scale Oerlikon gun set, which I purchased. Thank you. As an aside - when I was still in High School, living in Brooklyn NY, I went to see the actual USS Enterprise at the Brooklyn Navy Yard just a year before she was scrapped. What a tragedy she could not be saved.
Just wanted to say that unlike so much of the RUclips general population, I really am enjoying the Duchess of Kingston build. Thank you for posting it.
You guys are awesome! Skill, experience, always relate to us fellow modelers. You know what we need and what we want and your presentations are like being right there in the shop with you talking and sharing! Keep going and continue to break the ceiling!!
It's great to hear another one of your shop talks, Ben. Always interesting and insightful. You'll always have an appreciative audience for the great work that you do.
Ben, and Nora, this particular shop talk was both way funny and way interesting. Love the work you do. While not really a ship modeler, I do have a couple in my "stash", that came from my dad, that I need to build. I DO actually scratch build in wood, for my model railroad and you are correct, building your own parts is interesting, and requires new skills. I found your description of the naming of your printers to be fun. Will we, one day, see the end of your lit up Titanic or did it sink to the bottom of a small lake? In any event, I love the work that you and Nora put out. Way fun and way informative. Press on.
Ben and Nora: I cannot appreciate more the help with the Titanic build, the products I’ve purchased from your Model Shop, and above all else the attitude from you both that not all of us are at your level and the patience you have with us. Thank you both!
I have always loved you guys I have two big hobbies 1 fishing mainly summertime and two model building during the winter and now that I work 2 nd shift it's a little difficult but I still make time and always enjoy your build and channel
Great shop talk, Ben. There is so much involved in a business that isn't readily apparent to a layman such as myself, but I just wanted to say that the service and quality of product that I've gotten from you guys is top notch! Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for the channel update and all the great videos and products you provide. I will start getting some of the resin goodies for my Enterprise as soon as i am able to. I was planning on building her as she was at Midway with Wildcats but since you are doing Hellcats I will build it as she was a bit later.
I am probably in the minority but I have enjoyed watching the Duchess of Kingston build. I may never build a wooden ship model but I have a much better appreciation for the art that goes into it.
Ben and Nora, Thanks for your update as to what is happening at the shop. I imagine you have all sorts of folks in your modeling world, and it nice to see your reaction to them. Thanks for you being you. It would also be nice to see your work shop...a little tour, if you will. Regardless, I still appreciate your friendship doing " the tour" in the basement at the Nationals. A mark of a great individual. So, as a friend of mine would say.."Press on...."
Thank you sir for the carrier sets I felt so bad that it auto corrected my address the house is a new build so it basicly didnt recognize our adrees was weird after seeing the quality of the prints in person they are fantastic I finished the hanger deck of my Yorktown and it just looks so great with the boxes tool boxes engines it just looks fantastic.thank you
Thanks Ben! Your videos are most appreciated! Please keep the DOK videos coming! Not sure why anyone would not want to build one of these bad boys! I am getting ready to start my Saucy Jack build. Thank you for the recommendation on this kit! You are so correct, perfect first wooden ship kit to start on!
Hey Ben, yourself and Nora do a great job fulfilling orders. I received my 1/350 Oerlikon cannons and your how to remove vid was extremely helpful. Did I break any? One actually that's was totally on me. Really enjoying your channel onwards and upwards.
Hi, Ben. Thanks so much for all you and Nora do. I've gotten all the Titanic sets you offer and wonder if you'll ever get back to that build? I know you built an entire one for your client, so maybe that satisfied your desire for that kit?
Excellent vid!,the piece on 3d printing was particularly welcome as im seriusly considering getting into it!. im in the u.k so since we exited the E.U it's become very difficult to deal with the u.s.
I definitely would love to do a wooden ship model kit. My unicorn is the USS constitution Revell kit in Plastic and in 1/96 and i have never finished it and the kit has been damaged in storage and i am not sure I will ever finish it. i would love to build one in wood.
Ben great talk. Did you finish your 1:200 Titanic and not record it? I didn't hear Titanic during unfinished models part of this update. I am interested in how you will/have completed the upper deck lighting. Keep up the great work your 1:200 Titanic ladder, crane, deck chair, and window sets are perfect with impeccable detail and craftsmanship.

Nope. Work on it will continue after Enterprise.
Great video! I enjoy shop talk. Do you still make the windows for the titanic?
