      I called 911 once when I was in an auto accident and within 5 seconds of ending the call, the Police and an ambulance arrived and the firetruck arrived within 45 seconds. I was nearby the Fire/Police station and the ambulance and Police officer just happened to be parked within 1000ft or less at the plaza nearby. With live-911 the Police can get to calls extremely fast sometimes. Especially if the call is a child choking or drowned, anything involving kids, you'll see unrealistic response times as everyone is going CODE and everyone is going as fast as the vehicle will go! Another day my daughter and I witnessed an accident and while I was on the phone with 911, a Sheriff's Deputy arrived within seconds, maybe 10-15 seconds into the call the first unit arrived. Right time and right place, plus good technology and good dispatch can all work really well when done right. Obviously different areas and departments will not be able to have fast response times. Every department and every city and state is different, and especially in rural areas and bad areas, you'll rarely see fast response times. My nephew works a bad gang and drug area and his department has an extremely high officer involved shooting rate, amongst the highest in the nation. His SGT., has been cleared in 6 different OIS incidents. My nephew has already been in deadly situations and almost pulled the trigger a few times and would've been justified in doing so. However if you were to call 911 in his city and it wasn't a life and death situation, they are either not coming or it'll take awhile. Sometimes they have to respond many hours later or the next day, but often they just tell callers, sorry that is a personal issue or a property crime and we can't respond right now. If it's a civil matter, yeah they don't even come. Shoplifting or something that is not worth their time, they can't usually respond and if it is something that requires a police report, you maybe waiting for many hours or days. He typically finds at least one or two guns on each shift and routinely responds to shootings and armed robberies...just one serious call to the next, all day everyday. Than there are the nicer area's with big budgets and great training and technology and with live 911, an law enforcement officer or say Battalion Chief can start responding to the area or address given at the beginning of the call and doesn't have to even wait for dispatch to put the call out. They can hear the 911 calls from their cars.

    Looking at his history he should be in a psyche hospital or psyche ward of a jail. I don't know why the U.S. allows these kinds of people to go around repeatedly victimizing people. In my country this wouldn't happen, but my country is also smaller and much safer than the U.S. so maybe it's not a good comparison. The U.S. is rich though, it shouldn't be so chaotic and criminal compared to EU, Asia.

    • @silverbackhayabusa
      @silverbackhayabusa 13 дней назад +9

      Because all the money that would go to make a real difference in instead wasted on corporations and foreign aid. Your country doesn't waste its GDP on playing world cop, ours does. How much has your country spent on Ukraine?

    • @debroofgreen
      @debroofgreen 13 дней назад +12

      @@silverbackhayabusa Part of the reason the U.S. stays powerful is by increasing their sphere of influence in other regions. It's necessary spending because China and Russia also spend tons on that, and the U.S. doesn't want most of the world falling under those countries' control. Also it isn't really a money issue at all. There are much poorer countries that have drastically lower crime rates like in several Asia countries. The lack of spending isn't as big of a factor as lack of punishment. For example, the U.S. barely punishes DUI at all. None of the states are as harsh as EU and Asia, so it keeps happening.

    • @debroofgreen
      @debroofgreen 13 дней назад +10

      @@silverbackhayabusa Those are related issues. People like this guy have to be off the street whether it's in a mental hospital or a jail. Why is it that major cities outside of the U.S. don't have lunatics frequently roaming around committing crimes then getting released the same day? In NYC recently, a guy punched a random woman in the face and he was released after booking. That's what I mean by the EU/Asia don't let that happen. It's not just money (the U.S. has it) it's the willingness to protect citizens. The U.S. has some love affair with reoffenders and the homeless, like their empathy for them has overridden their duty to bring justice to victims and protect citizens. People (especially in cities) are paying tons of taxes but they can't have basic safety and cleanliness on their streets. There's a lack of willpower by lawmakers and prosecutors, who more and more are falling into a determinist outlook regarding crime mixed with a weird equity agenda. As an outsider it looks insane because this coddling of criminals hardly exists outside of America.
