Akira Takasaki of the band Loudness uses this as his primary guitar. It's actually based off a guitar he built by hand when he was young. If you ever seen the music videos for Crazy Nights or Let It Go he's playing is that guitar.
Both are not custom shop. So are cheaper Killer guitars. Exploder is the mid tier i guess. Has the longer neck joint and doesn't have neck plate. Has dynabite pickups , coil tap and thousand floyd rose bridge. Pirate has neck like the strat with neck plate. House killer pickups and floyd rose 3 bridge
Killer Guitars are in fact not made by ESP, but instead ESP provides materials to Killer. Killer builds the guitars themselves in Japan. I know this, because I e-mailed ESP asking for spare parts for my Killer bass and they explained the relationship between the two brands. I love my bass, it sounds fantastic, but so far I have had trouble getting spare parts outside of Japan.
thank you for the input man. i thought of getting one and send to singapore. its hard to find this guitar in singapore. after u informing that its hard to get spare parts, i feel this guitar do not have value if i were to retire
Yeah, that's usually the fact when you buy japanese brands. You can use 3rd party parts no problem, just ask what they're using and get from your local guitar shop. Most japanese brands use gotoh and they have export to a lot of countries.
For me, mine is worth every penny, I didn't care for the shipping, it was very expensive but for me it always is as I live in Australia. This is a Japanese guitar made by ESP with a very high quality, finish and attention to detail. I am pretty sure it is only made for Japanese market so you probably can't find a place to buy a new guitar outside Japan, but you can find a used exploder with a very reasonable price in Ishibashi store website, shipped directly from Japan. link below if you want to check it out. www.ishibashi-music.jp/category/select/cid/578
Ya I didn’t have a good experience because I bought a killer KG pirates on eBay it came from Japan and it was defective The truss rod couldn’t handle standard tuning And had to use really light strings I did did not have the Floyd Rose cut out in The body and I paid around 800 now I’m stuck with it
@@shaneshane2316 that sucks man. I have really good experience with ishibashi . I bought a 56 reissue fender japanese strat 8 -9years ago as well before they would sell new guitars aswell
