+ when you add a 20% buff, it causes more damage at 80 than 60 so 2 or 3 of those increase damage exponentially, talismans, spells, wondrous flasks, greases, you name it. Also this is a very specific build, just one more fun way to try something different. I'm a re-spec addict, my favorite part of the game.
One point. Instead of using Smarag's breath after using Boreali's breath, try using Agheel's breath, because fire damage resets frostbite, allowing you to proc frostbite again for the extra damage and stun for when it procs. Also, i tried to use Ekzykes's decay and honestly, it's not very good since 1.07 when they nerfed the rot build up from 110 to 65.
@@user-vq7lu6go1x actually, it doesn't. The way frostbite works is that it lowers the resistances from the target to damage caused, but rot causes pure % damage based on the target's max health. That's also what makes rot so powerful against certain characters, because if you hit them for example with Aeonia Bloom, the strongest rot effect you can cause in the game, that's around 30% of the target's health just gone, no matter what.

You said yourself that "when a enemy has frostbite they get dealt 20% more damage", and the video implies it works with the dot of scarlet rot. It doesn't, because it's percentage pure damage, you can't increase or lower it. The effect of frostibite effects the resistances to damage. And yes, you can use this to cause more damage after, but depending on the boss, if you have space to use a breath attack again, you can reset the frostbite just to do it again, since it's a good chunk of health and a stun.
It’s not always a bad thing to leave an enemy frostbitten. It lowers the targets defense. So when he follows up with smaranqs breath it does a lot more damage
I adapted this build of yours. using two dragon communion seals. one in each hand, and additionally using Jellyfish Shield in one of the hands to be able to use shield buff + Spell in the right hand
@@kalebblake4228 I didn't notice any significant improvement. However, if you use Faith 80. You can use Dragon Seal on your left hand and use erdTree Seal on your right, and cast dragon enchantment using Erdtree Seal. This will greatly increase your damage.
I made mine more of a dragon/serpent theme. I'm lvl 250 so obviously I have more wiggle room on stats. +25 Venoms Fang + blood affinity. Will proc bleed & poison fast. Bladed weapons are many, take your pick: Eleonora's pole blade (fire+bleed) is fun. Great AOW Blasphemous Blade, a classic. Fire damage. Killed a serpent for it. Lol Dual magma blade. Can be hard to farm two of them, but they fit fire theme. Serpent bone blade katana. Procs poison. Not the greatest stats. Rivers of blood. Old favourite. Fire + bleed. For armor, I use the veteran's set with the Hoslows helmet. Just for the look and the decent poise (75?). If you don't mind looking silly, wear the mushroom helm. Increases damage by +10% for 20 seconds after you or an enemy suffer Poison or Scarlet Rot. I addition to the talisman mentioned in the vid, use Kindred of Rot's Exultation Kindred of Rot's Exultation raises attack power by 20% for 20 seconds when Poisoning or Rot occurs in the vicinity. When using fangs or serpent bone sword.
I am using this build while playing with my brother and it is fun to watch invaders see the flamberge and expect me melee them but nope just dragon breath, the panic is hilarious.

@@erencoban9425 I have the sword in my main hand and my seal in my o-ff hand, if you are not two handing the sword you will be able to use your spell when you hit what would be the block button, LB/L1 by default on controller not sure with M/K. Just nee d to make sure you are wielding the sword with one hand.
Good video a few other options...Golden Vow can be found on wepon dropped by a night in limb grave... and I woild recommend using the the ripple blade it scales at an s at level 20 then cover it im grease to make it be a real workhouse... it also levels with regular stones and any ash can be put on it... the dung eater is my fav summon of them all hard to get but man he is hard to kill and solo many bosses on his own
Actually, you can't put ashes of war in the ripple blade. If you don't care about bleeding however, and want to just have a weapon to kill normal enemies, it's far from bad because of the scale, and it's not hard to get.

I kid you not this build made malenia cry. I did not take a single hit of malenia instead I instantly turned her into ashes with my dragon breath. This is amazing.
Just FYI, frost proc doesn't increase the damage the enemy takes by 20%, it decreases their resistances by 20%. So if an enemy has 80% physical resistance, then when frost procs it will only have 60% instead. Not to be a a-hole and correct, but to help anyone who reads this comment Edit: however if i am wrong, please correct me
@@shannonevans1952 If you look at a spell/incantation or skill and it says it can be charged, then Godfrey Icon will work. I would also use the Roar Talisman because all the communion incantations that spew some kind of attack will work

Converted my own build into a modified version of this that I think is slightly more optimal. (I could be wrong I have run 0 numbers on this.) Stat spread the same but changing out the armor to fingerprint armor, perfumer gloves, and crucible greaves gives you enough armor to hit 51 poise and frees up enough weight to dual Occult Uchigatana and RoB (Would switch out for second Uchi if I had one) with seal so you can offhand RoB and switch over to dual wield for faster bleed proc and higher dps. Big Downside is your Fashion Souls stat goes to 0 as I look ugly as hell lol.
The points aren't adding up. That stat spread on a prophet is showing level 155 - I'm guessing you have 14 Dex + Millicent's Prosthesis for the +5? If so which talisman did you replace with that? If not, what did you do/use for that 5 point difference?
this build is seriously amazing even without the scorpion talisman and the dung eater spirit but i will admit its difficult to use against melania and radagon/elden beast. mostly with timing but also how much mp the incantations take and by the time you got to elden beast or melanias second phase youve run out of flasks
Alternatively using a Faith-Knot Crystal Tear until Faith can be raised up those 8 points (I mean if we're assuming a level 150 build, can safely assume level 200 is on the way :P)
great video. i always only used rotten breath in my dex/arc build. i'm not a big fan of slow weapons so i would love to use something else than the flamberge. same goes for the seppuku aow. is reduvia a good choice even with low dex investment?
If reduvias physical damage scales with arcane well that would work really nicely. If not a katana with the occult affinity and the ash of war blood blade works just as well : )

It's only 4 incantations that you can use. Agheel's flame, smarag's glintstone breath, borealis's mist, and ekzykes's decay. All you have to do is jump then press/hold L1 (on ps5) As long as you're in the air when you trigger it you'll stair in mid air while you perform it
@@ardhenduchatterjee5824 doesn't matter, it works for both as long as it's chargeable. incantations ARE spells, just not magic based spells. you can look this up easily on google. that being said, there are no chargeable dragon incants
I think a good weapon for this build is definitely the greatsword you get from Rykard. Sure, you can't buff it, but that heal every kill and its Ash of War more than make up for it.
Its ok you can reset your stats after killing Renalla in Liurnia so you can use any build for early game and then reset to preferred build. Renalla is also relatively early game so no worries
I watched a bunch of videos on OP builds and one shot everything and all I could think of was, wow! how boring the game must become. It's like an addiction to me, once in Godlike mode you can't go back to a normal playthrough, it kind of kill the game when the real challenge is gone.
so you're just gonna ignore poison infusions and rot weapons? also remember that you also level faith, so faith weapons (although not as powerful) are still an option. i'm doing a dragon build with the grafted dragon fist weapon from godrick
@@horizonbumpy2828 True but Bleed is kind of busted. I think it is one of the best status effects in the game. When an enemy can be bled. With high arcane it only takes about 2-3 hits with Seppukued blade to trigger. And since bleed also triggers the Talisman and mask for 30% damage buff it also has great synergy there. Arcane with status afflictions goes hand in hand with Dragon communion build since the seal has an S ranking in Arcane.

ah yes... seppuku... the most dragon-like skill of all... totally befitting a dragon build... i just use the grafted dragon from godrick, and the seal in the other hand. yes, it isn't overpowered at all, but at least it fits the dragon theme and it's not the 36858925th disguised bleed build. and even with that weapon, if i come across fire resistant enemies, i have a lot of different breaths and slams to negate that.
I feel you, but it's largely FromSoft's fault for not making the other dragon-themed weapons scale with the same attributes as the Dragon Communion Seal, with the partial exception of the Flowerstone Gavel introduced in SotE. As a primarily Arcane weapon, the Dragon Communion Seal synergizes naturally with Bleed weapons, so it's little wonder so many dragon builds double as bleed builds. Even my first Tarnished ended up as a "Blood Dragon" warrior in her own right, since it's such a strong and thematically cool combo.
@@Anima18911 Reduvia is great since it also has some range, And you can double dip if you hit with the weapon at the same time as you shoot the blood. Many diffrent options for bleed. Even the flameberge he used in this video is super good since it has a very nice moveset.

The soft cap for occult weapons is 60. You can drop 20 points and use in something else. It won't affect the seal since its soft cap is 30/45 fth arc.
You can still get like 2, 3 points a level for occult affinity when you level past 60. Way more damage dealt with 80

jellyfisdh shield doesn't do anything if not held in the hand. Except when using the special R2 of the ornamental straight swords
I use 2 seals too but they're both on the left because I click the directional pad by accident and it unequips the seal lol

I wanted to do something outside of bleed with the arcane. bleed and poison aren't particularly dragony. I'm looking at fire or lightning.

Yep the DragonMaw is also busted. Does insane physical damage and gives you more poise while using it.

The lesser breaths also cast faster, better for pvp if you just need to proc

This is a new game plus role playing build. Dragon communion spells are all terrible.
They are not terrible most of them melt bosses. Even though too be fair other builds and spells also can do.
