@ilkkatapio Thanks, I did Google Toinnen maisema and used Google translate to learn more about the band. I'm glad they kept on making music.

Genio JUKKA!!!

Wow great keyboardist, in fact one of the best of his time. Never heard about him before now, someone mentioned him in U.K (the prog band) video on youtube.

I remember seeing this concert from telly somewhere in -79. A mind blowing experience for a 18 year old, to say at least :) It's a real shame that this they didn't make a record of this stuff.

Some heavy Weather report influences here (pun intended) :)

After listening to this a few times, it's apparent that this song was an instrumental that got turned into 'minkil halajat minun tietavan'. It was the first track off of 'Toiden Toistoa'.

Jukka Gustavson sang & played keyboards on the 4 first Wigwam albums between 1969-1974. This group, Sahti, was active around 1979-1980.

The bass player is called Harri Vainikka. It's true that in this video he bears a style similar to Pekka Pohjola in many ways. This recording is a real rarity, and the band never went on to record any albums. All of them did perform as Jukka Gustavson's backing band on his 1981 album "Toden toistoa" but the times were dysmal for prog/jazz-rock and I think they were split up by growing frustration. One key factor in the split-up was also Gustavson having turned into a Jehova's Witness.

Joe Zawinul and Weather Report have influenced these guys a lot. It does not matter, this is brilliant!

It sounds that the Moog goes through a Leslie cab, like his Rhodes and Lowrey too. That's why there's a Hammond -like attack to it.

No...it's not Wigwam. It's ex-wig-keyboardist Jukka Gustavson and his backing group "Sahti".

There are so many things I lie about this video - where do I start? The music is good jazz/rock fusion. The video has some really cool tracking shots (dolly moves) the mix is good you can definitely hear everything the list goes on and on....are these guys still playing together some 31 years later? I'd like to know what became of them.
