No!!! I can't believe they modernized this elevator! I filmed this in 2013 and this was an awesome elevator! I can't believe the redid the whole cab. In my opinion, Kone did do a good job on the modernization but I don't the decision made to modernize the elevator.
They did something similar to JCPenney Westfield Meriden... It had a Dover hydraulic elevator and KONE modernized it, and replaced the pump not making it traction...
@@Ih8kone - SUE L&T for modding their elevator? I've never heard anything more ridiculous in my life. They didn't break any *actual* laws. And besides you being super triggered, you haven't been negatively affected, so there is no reason to sue them. Get a reality check, buddy.
Kicking the elevator could be seen as intentional damage of property (which is a crime) and they could *actually* sue you for that. So don't go around saying they should be sued, and then suggest that I go to this store (hundreds of miles from where I live) and commit an illegal act.
This also has happened to Lord and Taylor in the Prudential Center.

and
Damn we lost another great elevator...but isn't KONE a traction only elevator company?
They still make hydros using equipment from third parties like MCE
@@Ih8kone Penalty of law? That is 100% BS. There is no law saying that every elevator company has to make hydraulic elevators.
@David Ng - KONE did quit making hydros for new installs back in 2007, but they still do hydro modernizations to this day.
@@Ih8kone wow. under penalty of law. will have to evaluate that statement frirnd
Knowing what the old elevator looked like, I’m not a fan of the cab at all.
HOW DARE THEY MOD THE AWESOME 60s DOVER WITH THE EPIC MOTOR!?!?!? YUCK!!!! YUCK!!!! YUCK!!!
+DanteTrainmaster The motor is not original.

So wait?? They overhauled the 1969 DOVER with this crap?? Why Lord & Taylor why?? We lost another great elevator with this crap!!
NW Indiana Elevators I swear the vintage and awesome elevator leg of our hobby is dying
