Thing is rengoku wouldnt be able to as one of the upper ranks would report to muzan as that rengoku betrayed them as to rengoku dying like in the anime but one thing is since akaza is a kizuki and akaza gave kizuki blood to rengoku that means rengoku could be killed by muzan which if you see nezuko tamayo and yushiro they do not have demon kizuki eyes and that is because muzan gave little blood but they became demons meaning that muzan doesnt control them.

This is funny but cant be canon since once under Muzan's control Rengoku couldnt turn to be like Nezuko, a friendly demon. it is very likely rengoku would've also killed many before infinity castle arc, the transitioning being nearly impossible. Muzan's cells would've also kill him instantly if he decided to oppose
