Hasbro Marvel Legends Fin Fang Foom Build A Figure Comparison with the KO FFF Follow me on Instagram! / mcucollector24 Like me on Facebook! / mcucollector24
For the price of an authentic one, I could buy myself two KO FFFs, give one away for brownie points and still left with some to get a shake shack meal LOL
I had no idea there was knock offs of Legends Figs, in fact i had no idea what "KO" meant, thought it was a company brand for Chinese Transformers, lol. Thanks!! You just saved me some money as i'm a painter and dont care about quality of KO paint. Can't wait to paint one of these.
Imagine if: instead of a FFF, an (official) 15inch "Dragon Man" BAF had been released (gray, of course!) considering that Dragon Man is 15-foot-3-inches tall.
Here's another thing, if you're going to use paint apps to discriminate between what's authentic and what isn't then you haven't been buying toys very long. I can show you stuff of mine out of the package that I've bought over the last 25 years, completely authentic, sold to Americans, and there are major differences in the paint between same items. Again it's not that these are knock offs or bootlegs, they are factory seconds, discarded for whatever reason. Skanavished by dumpster divers or picked up in auctions of abandoned warehouses. Nobody is cranking these things out fresh. That's completely ridiculous.
I don’t think these are knockoffs. The paint job and sculpt is waaaay too good plus way too identical to the original. I think these might just be factory surplus that were never sold
It’s basically the same factory that makes both figures. Everything’s made in China. The quality is not 100% the same due to quality control and budget to make the figures with the exact same materials.
God man $300 wow I would just enjoy the ko I can barely tell a difference, unless I'm gonna b posing it alot, I wouldn't...enjoy your other reviews though ;)
didnt realize there are ko ML, not bad actually, I almost couldnt tell the difference by looking at it...definitely KO figuarts are obviously less in quality, and so are Transformers MP......
This is just getting stupid. You can't make any money in toys and less you make 10,000 units. Nobody is setting up factories making fresh components of old build a figures. The only difference between these factory seconds and ones that came out of the package in America is that sometimes there are warped sections, that's why they were discarded in the first place. Other times there are just production overruns. When they move a factory somewhere else to produce things cheaper play then leave a lot of this crap behind because it's expensive to move it and sell them in lots or leave them in dumpsters. But they aren't knock offs and they aren't made of any different plastic and there's no whole factories producing these fresh. That's just retarded. If somebody was going to fire up a factory to do that, they would want a lock on the market for their product and they wouldn't sell them through a few dozen resellers on eBay in Hong Kong with varying degrees of feedback, they would find a few barely traceable outlets in Asia to sellthrough consistently. And again, they would need to sell at least 10,000 units to make it worthwhile,
Ok so you are saying these are factory overruns right? I can believe that, the odd thing would be the differences from the released ones and the unreleased ones though. Why is there a difference between official figures and these overruns? For instance the Crossbones Figure has sculpted on bands from his ankle on the KO/overrun, but the officially released figure they are a separate removable piece. What’s the explanation there?
MCUcollector24 I haven't seen what you're talking about so I can't speak to it. Certainly there are knock offs of some things out there. 15-20 years ago you could find some really funky stuff in the super cheapo dollar stores that preceeded The big chain dollar stores that we're used to now. Things that looked like toy biz 4 inch figures but weren't! No all I'm saying is that if you're worried, if a buyer is worried that they're buying a FFF made of model airplane plastic then they can put that to sleep and not worry they're going to get ripped off. Just find a reputable seller and try not to buy when EBAY notes that there's only a few left because THOSE are going to be the ones with worse defects than others if the seller is honest. That's what happened with the one I received today. I bought the last two he had out of 470 and they are really nice but the horns are warped closer to the head then sticking straight up. Something got melted a bit or crushed. I can live with it. I Purchased a complete convention box set from Hasbro years ago and I got $400 for my figure when I needed the money. I was ready to repurchase him and these seconds turned up - I've bought two! Next one arrives next week. I will respond back then if there's any other development with the second one. But if I were a recent collector of marvel legends, I'd save my money and not worry about it. Further, although I'll reserve judgment until I see one more, I don't think these were picked out of a dumpster. The one I received was incredibly clean and unmarked for a Chinese factory second. Usually these things are filthy and marked up with all kinds of black gunk. This thing is beautiful,
I’ve had several KO/overrun figures (and still have the Red Hulk BAF) and they have all been great quality. The quality of all of these figures are great and certainly worth the money they cost. Really it boils down to personal preference. I simply wanted to change it up in my collection.
MCUcollector24 - as far as new product goes where Mattel and Hasbro six inch figures are concerned i'd like to see the price drop by half but that's not going to happen because too many people are willing to spend ridiculous money on them. I don't know how many lines you buy, but in 2004 I was buying 12" Dragon and Sideshow figures for $40 and THAT was expensive! Then along comes Hot Toys and their intro offering General Rommel for $80 - I thought they were insane. Then the sideshow got the Star Wars license and jacked up the price. Hot Toys got Marvel and suddenly everyone lost their minds, spending $200 on 12" figures. Insane. Marvel and Hasbro stamp "adult collector" on the box and $19.99 is supposed to be reasonable. Grrrrr! Now that's all neither here nor there, but you and I see the effect of this kind of crazy retail pricing in the comments - collectors can't believe that a factory second figure could only sell for a quarter of the value of a so-called authentic one. "Somebody must be manufacturing them!" LOL They don't seem to realize that we are the dummies spending a fortune on this stuff while the Chinese know exactly what it cost to produce 3 ounces of painted plastic figure. Pennies. That's why a store like five below can blow these out for five dollars and still make a killing. The cost, the actual cost is a joke and that's why all these components are still kicking around 10 years later. They're garbage to the people that produce them in factories, they have no value - except for a few wise guys that pay attention to what us stupid Americans will pay for. We pay $160 for a factory second FFF and we're like "Wow! Just saved me $250!" These sellers in Hong Kong are more like, "stupid Americans just net me a profit of $140 or more after shipping!" LOL But they're making people happy. This is why we pay more for everything, meds, whatever - we have no concept of value, actual relative or otherwise. And there's always some joker who pipes up "sometimes you just gotta spend $200 on a 16 ounce plastic toy!"
The differences are so minimal, if I still had my old FFF, I'd sell it and buy a KO . . . and a house with what was left.
Lol
They should re release this with longer wings.
So...is it $300 better? I would have to say....no. lol
Quality wise, no lol. Personal collection preference, yes

Ko’s are getting better its almost equal, I wonder how Ko’s will be in 5 years.
Welp its been 5 years
@@XanaxTheWisest I was about to type the same thing 😂
Pretty good. But the joints are still bad for the most part
Still a good figure while considering the legit one asking me 300 bucks
thanks for the review, im debating on getting one cause the prices on the ko is still kinda of high.
Very cool
If they make the red one, maybe I will buy
I just ordered the KO , can't wait to get that badboy .
Imagine if: instead of a FFF, an (official) 15inch "Dragon Man" BAF had been released (gray, of course!) considering that Dragon Man is 15-foot-3-inches tall.
Magnificent bastard strikes again no offense baby but damn u get down with these vids. Ko all the way!!!!!!

Actually the ok figure looks pretty good
I meant ko typo
A new Fin Fang Foom May appear in the new marvel Asian superhero movie SHANG-CHI!!
I hope so, they just revealed a HUGE Sentinel figure so a new Fin Fang Foom of this scale isn’t out of the question
Do you have the link we’re I can buy a ko!?
You’ll have to search eBay or Ali Express
Same thing.
The real fin fang foom that I have has markings on legs Hasbro 2008 isn't that an easy way to tell🤔
Why don’t they make huge bafs anymore?
Number of different reasons. Cost is a big one. Retail packaging size is another. Retail stores don’t want massive packages
So, where and how do I get knock offs???
AliExpress
I recently bought a Scorpion strike venom online, it was from Japan so I think it’s legit but is there a way to tell a knock off from a real one?
There’s a tell on every figure, but could be different. Usually paint apps is the sign.
Anyone know where to get the KO at this point?
eBay
Too bat the KO is pretty much the same price as the legit one lol.
Well the legit one is not $150. Cheapest auctions close at is around $260+
Last time I checked ebay for the KO one it was $299 Lol.
I guess it went down in price.
Still so much for a KO, Should be $50 Darn it China. xD
Oh I’ve never seen the KO go above $200
Master Sashimi - Not sure about eBay, but I just ordered the KO from aliexpress for $150.
I got one for like 140 lmao
Why does the KO look better in some respects...
oh, BTW... Subbed!
Where’d u get the knock off at?
eBay
MCUcollector24 thanks
MCUcollector24 do u know how much it was
I paid $124. It’s available now for $150
MCUcollector24 ok thanks so would u say it’s worth getting if don’t want to pay a lot for the normal one
I don’t think these are knockoffs. The paint job and sculpt is waaaay too good plus way too identical to the original. I think these might just be factory surplus that were never sold
No bootleg really exist if the market are sold out, black market will reproduce one l.

@@luisguilhermebraganca4361 so likely just the same factory reselling on the side then
How do you know is the real one?
I explain it all in the video
Your legit FFF matches my KO I have. Horns and color.
You sure? The KO is very well done, but I can clearly see the difference between the two.
@@MCUcollector24 can you compare the toybiz markings on the legs?
I no longer have the KO. The original was made by Hasbro
God man $300 wow I would just enjoy the ko I can barely tell a difference, unless I'm gonna b posing it alot, I wouldn't...enjoy your other reviews though ;)
Thank you! It’s such an amazing BAF though
didnt realize there are ko ML, not bad actually, I almost couldnt tell the difference by looking at it...definitely KO figuarts are obviously less in quality, and so are Transformers MP......
