Shigeru Miyamoto I heard A New Beginning was his first time doing voiceover work for a game and he wasn’t a very big fan of the process resulting in him being a real asshole on the set. They didn’t want to bring him back apparently and got Billy West. Well, that and most likely budget restraints
I like how they took inspiration from the Jak & Daxter games just like how Naughty Dog took inspiration from the OG Spyro trilogy in the games. Jak and Spyro are like Marvel and DC
I kinda don’t like how there was a lack of screen time for the guardian dragons including Ignitus they where in the game for like 10 minutes but I understand cause they were in most of the last game

Honestly, my only complaint is that these games really aren't impressive for their time... If they had come out 4-5 years earlier, then they would have been pretty stellar. But by this point we were getting Mass Effect on the newest consoles.
This game is truly horrible, Just looking at the sound design alone. So many clipping and copy pasted sounds effects. I played it snd just stopped when I was younger. now it makes sense.
When the chronicler starts talking about Malefor's backstory, it looks and sounds like he's describing a dragon version of Anakin Skywalker.

this is easily the worst spyro game I've played. the gameplay is so frustrating and unfair I just completely gave up
