I like this video. If you play Japanese music radio while walking, I still like it.🎉🎉🎉
While it's a bit intrusive I do enjoy the completeness of the shooting style, it gives a very different sense of understanding for a location compared to just walking by.
The robotic start/stop to turn filming style means we the viewer is given pause and allow to take in the scene as it exist before us similar to if we where standing there ourselves.
Fluid camera looks more slick but it also influence where ones focus would end up where as this style allows us to decide for ourselves where to direct our attention. This is akin to watching 'location scout' footage for some film or game production where areas normally of secondary interest is important to capture in great detail to provide the actual vibe of a place.

It is indeed a robotic walk, as you say.
Especially when I begin to turn down a street, the image plays, so I consciously stop and then start walking again.
Your advice is technical and difficult, but it's interesting that viewers see it better than I thought.
