Same day? What do I have no life now? I don’t wait a week but it’s rarely the same day!

I can tell if a family is hiding the reason I wasn’t a good fit though. those are the times I am very sad. Because I KNEW they hid something. They said they wanted a nanny with specific experience that we discussed that I had. They stated that’s why they chose someone else. My brain: *bogus*.
I didn’t know about reference letters until this year.
I am VERY big on applying to very specific positions. Oh yes. I never really acted how that lady was with your agency but I did encounter a misunderstanding with a agency once because I had thought they weren’t going to use me but they just clarified that the families they currently serve at this time want people who have 3-5 years full time experience. I did apologize though. I hope I wasn’t blacklisted. That stinks

Great video! I am currently a full-time nanny but my bachelors degree is in engineering so I don't have any formal childcare related education. Would listing childcare/parenting books I have recently read on my resume be an acceptable form of continuing education or would that look unprofessional?

I don’t think you need to list them on your resume. On your cover letter or in the interview you can bring up that you are educating yourself on the latest childcare and parenting styles.

I've actually had babysitters come at me in the comments for not finding a job and posting again. Finding the right fit is going to take work. I posted again because I thought maybe new people would have joined the FB group. I am outdoorsy, with no drivers license looking for something roughly 4 miles or less from me. That's a niche in a city where people drop off to illegal home day cares.

That is a very hard situation. Good luck in your search.
