Some folks seem to not like this game too much but I really loved it as this was my entry point to the Mario & Luigi series, and I still love it now, I think it’s a great game overall
It is a great game. Definitely underrated, I think its the only time in a mario game that I had a feeling that this was a battle mario and green stache couldn't win. Made that final showdown all the more epic.
I love this game too. It was my second M&L game but I'd only gotten Superstar Saga a year and a half before for my 6th birthday in May of 2006 and just completed it right before getting this for Christmas in 2007 when I was 7 years old so it was like the fun never ended. So many awesome and fun memories. Lots of people say the game's too dark to be a Mario game but it's not really that dark (for a Mario game, sure, but it's not Silent Hill or Resident Evil, either). I remember when I lost to the Shroobs boss in Hollijolli Village, I cried at first thinking I messed up and that it meant I was so bad I lost to the first real boss and got a Game Over. But then the game continued, I was so confused. And then later when I lost to Elder Shrooboid I thought "okay, Mario and Luigi will be KO'ed and everything will be fine", then I got a game over.
Partners in Time is such an underrated game, man The story was very good,I loved the music and the areas you visit and its set of Bosses is among the most varied ones in the entire series Heck, the Final Boss is basically just a reverse Sans fight against Bowser and his Stand The only gripes I have with it are the ending dragging on for too long, the Bros Attacks being just Button mashers and the game being a bit on the easy side, but it is a fun experience all the way through
Being brutally honest here, the story and areas were pretty bad. I loved the music and the bosses’s highs are super high, but even that is more meh than it’s siblings. I have been enjoying my playthrough though.

What if they are “toxic copies” of the Mushroom Kingdom residents that stemmed from the mind of Princess Peach that were then brought to life by Peach and the others traveling back in time? This game literally had me shook to the core from beginning to end, so bad that I thought that I, a teenage boy at the time, had given this to my grandmother to pray over it because I thought the game was possessed at the time.
Elder shroob in the second form traumatizes me because of all that health she has. When you thought that she died, you were happy, but then there came the second form.
@@ensaracar6186 Yeah. As if the Elder Princess herself is not a surprise finale enough, we get ANOTHER phase to her. The final battle REALLY hits hard when you realize that you're not only defending the planet, but that win or lose, an organism's species goes extinct. And YOU'RE the cause.
Partners in Time is such a good chapter in the Mario and Luigi series, im baffled we dont have a remake of this, when it should. But if it means i get to listen to the Elder Princess Shroob final boss theme again, then i'll take that trade instantly.
The fact the clone flower had no limit was the most broken shit, you can just one shot any boss as long as you're good, tho I guess this is true for a lot of other items but imo the clone flower is the easiest to use Also wtf Toadsworth you are a grown adult in the past how come you don't remember any of this is the present
"No damage" there's a reason why, if your mindset wasn't on avoiding every attack perfectly most of those attacks practically 2-3 shot you. Even basic enemies were a big threat in this game. I assume if they do make a remake for this game they will nerf infinites forcing us to avoid those deadly attacks
You have the choice to do that or continue from your last save point (either the save before the shrowser fight or whenever it was you last saved) Edit: at this point (technically the point before you go to bring down the younger princess Shroob’s mothership), stuffwell will come out and rewind time. If you missed out on a few things, you can have stuffwell rewind time to before you meet the real peach. Use that time to get every possible collectible because once you meet her, there’s NO turning back
53:31 was the developer's attempt at giving us, the players, a taste of our own medicine when we might have went through the entire game on infinites. Emphasis on attempt.
Still the best game. Too bad it never got a 3rd remake. I actually recently played this again and got all characters to level 100 for the first time ever in any Mario and Luigi game
@@jimimcmahon4522 nope. Paper Jam has one of the best boss lineups in any Mario Game. This game Boss lineup is the hit or miss one. There fixed it for you.
This game desperately needed a budget increase. The gameplay and story was good but its combat system definitely needed an update. The fighting was difficult to manage and its items were so limited that it was hard to even have them on hand.
I am back here because of M&L brothership. The major downside of recent titles was pacing and ungodly amount of tutorials... and I believe some of that problem started with Partners in time. Not to hate on the game, but there didn't need to be extra tutorials for 2 extra characters who were given a specific button. The idea of "Consumable" abilities also didn't seem appealing as I find the BP(bro points) abilities significantly less tedious.
I still really like this game, but it suffers the same problem Superstar Saga has and that it's too easy, like this game is arguably easier than Superstar Saga since having 4 characters in battle is kinda crazy (especially because the babies can only take damage once their adult counterpart faints) also a lot of the bros attacks are far more busted in this game compared to the one's in Superstar Saga, this is mainly because this game has a lot of attacks that deal damage until you fail an action command, and they did fix one thing that Superstar Saga had as a major problem, and that's the fact that in Superstar Saga a lot of the bosses and enemies had pretty low HP, but at times while I was playing Parnters In Time I remember the bosses having so much HP that it made the fights kinda a drag, also this game just feels way too short compared to Superstar Saga, overall I don't think it's a bad game, but it has a decent amount of flaws that hold it back

The fact the clone flower had no limit was the most broken shit, you can just one shot any boss as long as you're good, tho I guess this is true for a lot of other items but imo the clone flower is the easiest to use
Also wtf Toadsworth you are a grown adult in the past how come you don't remember any of this is the present
Not only the clone flower, if i remember, the trampoline and the Chomp Ball were also limitless
@@Leaked_Footage_79Chomp Ball isn't I think because the chomp will be faster than you at some point
@@cyrussouth any of them would be humanly possible because of the speed eventually, but a bot would defininitely do it infinitely
24:09 cheeky what are you doing here?
51:34 you did it player
one of my favorite games!
I wish Nintendo can translate what the Shroobs say
Unpopular opinion: Partners in time is not underrated, because every says it's underrated
Most say its the worst M and L game
@@oOTheMastaOo240 paper jam has entered the chat
@@monicarojas4666Paper Jam is not that bad
I love when there's trouble the characters are shocked and scared
Me saltan las lágrimas por la nostalgia
10:38 awesome attack player
"No damage" there's a reason why, if your mindset wasn't on avoiding every attack perfectly most of those attacks practically 2-3 shot you. Even basic enemies were a big threat in this game.
I assume if they do make a remake for this game they will nerf infinites forcing us to avoid those deadly attacks
So if you somehow die during shrowser do you actually gotta redo the entire princess shroob and her sister bossfight?
You have the choice to do that or continue from your last save point (either the save before the shrowser fight or whenever it was you last saved)
Edit: at this point (technically the point before you go to bring down the younger princess Shroob’s mothership), stuffwell will come out and rewind time. If you missed out on a few things, you can have stuffwell rewind time to before you meet the real peach. Use that time to get every possible collectible because once you meet her, there’s NO turning back
My first M and L game… so nostalgic
I miss this game I'm going to try to look for a Ds and also this game
53:31 was the developer's attempt at giving us, the players, a taste of our own medicine when we might have went through the entire game on infinites. Emphasis on attempt.
今のグラフィックでだとどうなるんだろう?
新作が出たということで、このリメイクもワンチャンあるかもしれない!
Baby Bowser: "Oh no!" 😡🍼
Who’s here after the announcement of Brothership?
Me
Still the best game. Too bad it never got a 3rd remake. I actually recently played this again and got all characters to level 100 for the first time ever in any Mario and Luigi game
Please
Mario and Luigi Bowser's inside Story (DS) All Bosses
Why didn’t Partners in time never got a remake? Was it too dark?
Prob bc alphadream went bankrupt
We don’t talk about Shrowser
I like the way this game sounds
I wonder why in this game it doesn't exist the critical damage
It exists
Talk about a hit or miss boss lineup. At least the music is awesome.
Nah the boss line up is good you mean paper jam's line up is hit or miss there fixed it for you
@@jimimcmahon4522 nope. Paper Jam has one of the best boss lineups in any Mario Game. This game Boss lineup is the hit or miss one. There fixed it for you.
@@Driggsdamonstah true, paper jam was a mid tier game overall, but it had some great bosses.
@@Driggsdamonstah uhh. Ok sure
@@tibby4503 Paper Jam was pretty generic and uninspired compared to the other Mario and Luigi games. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't captivating for me.

It's such as shame that this game didn't get remade.
Another reason, 3ds is extinct
Anyone else here want to see a game in the Yoshi spin-off series that features the Shroobs as the main antagonists?
48:59 I just feel like fire attacked mario and thunder attacked luigi all because of Superstar Saga
I hope this game gets a remake or like every mario and luigi game should get a remake
This dude is really good at copy flower
Swiggler
Wiggler
Hes so wonderful
wiggler is so wonderful
I never realised how… strange… the Swiggler cutscene looks.
Ok, which version of the game is this because Princess and Elder Princess Shroob sure didn't seem to have at least 3000 health?
Probably PAL because of the little ! that was added to signify the boss is about to counter-attack
Wait, I never fougt Shrowser o.O how do you unlock him?
Mandatory boss after you defeat the Elder Princess Shroob
True Final Boss
I still really like this game, but it suffers the same problem Superstar Saga has and that it's too easy, like this game is arguably easier than Superstar Saga since having 4 characters in battle is kinda crazy (especially because the babies can only take damage once their adult counterpart faints) also a lot of the bros attacks are far more busted in this game compared to the one's in Superstar Saga, this is mainly because this game has a lot of attacks that deal damage until you fail an action command, and they did fix one thing that Superstar Saga had as a major problem, and that's the fact that in Superstar Saga a lot of the bosses and enemies had pretty low HP, but at times while I was playing Parnters In Time I remember the bosses having so much HP that it made the fights kinda a drag, also this game just feels way too short compared to Superstar Saga, overall I don't think it's a bad game, but it has a decent amount of flaws that hold it back
Wah, EUR version.
Those old days I did a romhack of this...
We need more baby games!!
I don't know why it took so long for me to Beat the Swiggler but I know why

Should this game be remastered on the switch ?
Yes but with Brotherships graphics
