Susan, maybe not what you thought you were going to get but no one would know that. I think it's fantastic! So moody and spooky. Just enough detail for me to see what it is without being "told". The atmospheric quality is very much present. I don't want to go anywhere near that place! Happy Halloween!
Wonderful atmospheric painting, Susan! A great example of wet in wet and wet on dry with those final darks. Thank you so much for posting this companion to your delightful ink and wash Hallowe'en series!
@@SusanChiang I'm going to try to paint it. I hope you do t mind. It's just very...um, it looks lime an old picture or I don't know. There's just something mysterious about it I guess. It doesnt look spooky to me. It's more like an old picture or painting that was hidden for 300 years... done by a Master. - Sorry 4 the long comment. Don't get rid of that painting. Years from now, you will see it differently. 💕 Bfn
THAT looks super cool. I love it! Curious to what type of flat brush you are using? I have a decent one (can't remember brand and it's too early to go look for it 😁) but I find it's just a tad too soft/flexible for lifting. Either that or my technique sucks. Do you have any suggestions?
You know, I didn't really think about mixing up my own black when I started painting. Thanks for suggesting that and yes I do think it would have made it even better!

Hello! In this video, I used the Princeton Aqua Elite Mottler (1 ½) for the flat brush.
I like your house, love the moody atmosphere but I was curious about why you didn't mix your own black. I think it would have made it even better.

@@SusanChiang I still loved your house.
