Great video! Very informative, did not know the optometric practice at Target could be independently run. Seems like an ideal transition for a new grad due to most of all the expenses, equipment provided, most important, the experience and the support network.

It's sad that health care is changing more and more into corporate settings. I have a target lease and my own office so I understand how it feels. Being an independent doctor at Target, Walmart, or Lenscrafters isn't as "ideal" as this video makes it to be and you CERTAINLY cannot do vision therapy or speciality CL when you're office starts being somewhat busy. Remember guys, at the end of the day corporation wants SALES, your vision therapy or speciality CL that they do not sell don't do them any good...With that said, I think having a lease is definitely better than working at retail. But it is sad that new graduates look for lease as ideal situation now...it's not their fault, the profession is becoming more corporate as more Targets, Pearl's Opticals, Lenscrafters, Macy's, and others opening up each year...
