I’ve already died 100 times. Most of the deaths were from very dumb things like bleeding out or backing off a cliff while running outta ammo being chased by chihuahuas. All of it infuriating. I loved every second of it as well.
I'm loving the game so far, it feels so much like the "True Stalker" mod which is basically the original experience but enhanced. The detail of the environment and the ambience is stunning for how big the map is, just disable the compass and get lost in the zone. Only recomendation i would say is to get to a camp where you can sleep before the night gets too dark, playing at night takes out some of the pretty visuals in cutscenes and its harder to find interesting points.
Im glad i finally found someone not crying about the game not being this or that. Ive been a stalkers fan for ages, and this game feels like a true stalker game.

@@ssilent8202 Theres a issue with the current A-Life system pretty sure its a bug but it causes NPCs to spawn around the player instead of off at a distance and people are all complaining about it, well that and the performance in a lot of cases, personally I have no issue with either but I could see getting frustrated at getting jumped by 3 bandits
People have issues because the game launch in a terrible state like cyberpunk did, I didn't see anyone complaining besides the optimization and the bugs

Such like melee,sniping even running and gunning. You're actually one of the best gamers,the new gamers don't seem to have this skill to make their videos as enjoyable as yours. Ever played Stalker Anomaly (with the gamma modpack) Tomo? Drewski and Fugglet did a bunch of videos on it and I'm 100% sure it would be right up your alley when you've finished this iteration of the series and need some more Stalker! Such an intense experience, gives SP Tarkov vibes sometimes.

If you store all your equipment in the safe at 21:41 you can retrieve your equipment after the cut scene where you loose your belongings and wake up in an anomaly field. therefore having guns in great condition from the start of the game.
I wish we could have some mod where all natives speak Ukrainian and mercenaries and foreign organizations speak English at the same time having some "Lost in translation" situations. Would be so much immersion. Tho if the devs let the modders absolute freedom on modding, stalker 2 is easily gonna be the game of a decade.

The game absolutely needs quality of life updates, bug fixes and performance patches. That said, the foundation the devs have layed is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Unironically the only game that I've played this year to have me completely immersed in the world.
I heard if you stored you stuff in the Safe you could actually get it back after that cutscene. So if you or other people decide to start a new game, stuff some of the guns and ammo you find in there otherwise you will lose it after that cutscene
So far it seems like an interesting STALKER game, and I think that since it is out for such a short while, who knows what it has to offer once the story is progressed further...
anything that is not lower than 3080 should use 50% sharpness it doesnt eat the same amount of fps that SSOA does but make some game look wayyyy smoother
I had never played a stalker game before but i decided to play on veteran difficulty and i died like 20 times to bloodsuckers which are terrifying btw. However im still having alot of fun.
It's not ideal, you get between 50-60fps on performance mode. It's not great but bearable with vrr. I've been having a good time on Series X so far. I wouldn't recommend playing the game on the S though.
The performance in this game is disappointing, With every release my opinion of UE5 keeps changing, idk if its the fault of the engine or devs being lazy and relying optimization on Upscalers and FG
I don't know if I agree with the narrative. UE5 is heavily upscaling dependent, it's built into the engine and designed to be used as a matter of course. It looks incredible with it on or off, it's getting closer to being free frame rate all the time. I've got this running on a very midrange card (7700XT) and mid/low range CPU (12400) and I've got everything on epic at 90% Res scale TSR with frame gen and it flies along butter smooth. The only occasional hitch I've had is CPU limitation.

I find playing modded stalker with Ukranian + Russian VA is much, much more immersive and I imagine the subtitle support is so much better in 2!

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition? Bro what? That game is still unparalleled when it comes to visuals, still the single one game with infinite bounce RTGI. Stalker 2 has some higher texture resolutions and a bigger world but overall visually and from art direction standpoint, it's not even close to Exodus.
@Juliencharb pc i9/4090ti user. The game has its issues. Its a good game, it'll be a great game when it gets a few patches in, but its got quality and functional issues. Its got a memory leak causing crashes and loss of save status, alot of textures and objects need to be optimized further. I can overlook the memory leak, but there's no reason my setup should be incapable of playing this game at consistent 60fps 1440p. I can play forza 5 and Microsoft flight sim on ultra at 120fps+. Cyberpunk never dips below 120fps, and we all know how rough of a start that game started out with. It is what it is, but what it is needs to be fixed and it needs to be patched by end of week before the devs start seeing mass refunds and abstains.
I'm not complaining? The title is in reference to the wider playerbase that is having performance issues so I feel obligated to tell it how is even though I'm playing on a high end rig without those problems.

I've not seen Skill Ups video but will add it to the watch list. Thats the difficulty with early hands on because peoples milage will vary when so many first impression videos are going out at once, though the game seems to be sitting at Mostly Positive on Steam right now but I can only speak from my own experience with the game.

The reason being is that the 30 series is now 4 years old, thus DLSS 3 can only work on GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs because of the Lovelacr architecture it includes. 30-series graphics cards do not include an Optical Flow Accelerator, which is the core component to achieve frame generation but I believe you can try FSR 3 Frame Gen, you may just feel a bit of input lag.

Haha! I intended on using Ukrainian voice dubbing but the cutscenes are only matched to the English dub which just looks a lot better 😅
Then play the original voice actors with subtitles on. Easy fix
im from Argentina so i barely notice any difference lol, Ukrainian is way too distracting to follow conversations so i play on English
