  • Learning the right way to clean, wash and dry your bedding is essential to maintaining its look, feel and longevity. Here is the step-by-step process on how to wash your sheets and care for your bedding:
    1. Remove the comforter insert from the duvet cover.
    2. Make sure to zip up your duvet cover before washing. This will decrease the chances of a snag or tear occurring during wash and maintain the longevity of the zipper.
    3. To remove any lingering bleach residue from previous laundry loads, wash white towels on a rinse cycle before you load your linens into the washer. If possible, use bleach alternative as it keeps your brights bright and your whites white.
    4. Place your duvet cover and shams or sheet set in the washer. We recommend adding one set of linens per load. This will ensure your linens are thoroughly and evenly cleaned.
    5. Add the detergent. Washing sheets and duvet covers with mild detergent avoids unnecessary damage to your linens that a stronger detergent can cause.
    6. Set your washer on delicate cycle and wash with cold water. Only use warm water if you feel your linens could use the extra cleaning.
    7. Remove bedding from the washer. Shake it out and place bedding in the dryer.
    8. Dry on a low heat setting such as delicate or permanent press. As it dries, stop the dryer and shake out your bedding a few times. This will ensure your linens dry evenly and with fewer wrinkles.
    9. Remove your bedding from the dryer as soon as everything is dry. This will prevent noticeable wrinkles from setting. For a completely wrinkle-free look, use an iron on the appropriate heat setting.
    10. Neatly fold and safely store your bedding or make the bed with your freshly laundered sheets and duvet cover. Sweet dreams!
