Bounmy with her new board - Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) intervention

Meet Boummy, a person with difficulties in movement from Xiengkhouang province, who has benefited from our USAID Okard project. Through USAID Okard’s Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) approach, our CBID facilitators with a local health officer visited Bounmy, assessed her health condition and provided her with an assistive device to help her move around inside the house and ultimately optimize her functioning. Now Bounmy has become more independent in her daily life and is now able to help her family around the house.
