Great vlog, I’ve never been on Ventura but she definitely reminds me of Azura. Looking forward to watching whole series as I love your detailed vlogs. X
Thank you very much. Jess and I are very happy to hear your enjoying them. We try and make them as detailed as possible but without being boring. We haven't sailed on Azura yet. Got Arvia in October which we are excited for. hope you enjoy the rest of the series. xx
Ventura was launched in 2008, her sister ship is Azura, both of these ships and Britannia have the huge walk in wardrobes, looking forward to the next vlog 30:56
Really enjoyed this and I’ll follow on from here as work really gets in the way , we’re 52 and never been in a cruise but thanks to you guys and I mean this we are going to take a mini 4 da cruise with p&o to Belgium. We want to start entry level just incase it’s not for us . We’ve chosen to have a balcony as I live the fresh air and also the wife loves a balcony , thanks a lot
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We both have had a horrible day today and this comment has really cheered us up. It's why we make these videos. To hear that your now going on a 4 day cruise after watching us really shows us that are hard work isn't going unnoticed. We hope you have a lovely mini cruise and want to carry on cruising. - Wayne 🙂
Thanks Sarah, we Totally agree. These amazing people often work for months away from their families for long periods of time and they work extremely hard to ensure we all have a fantastic holiday. If we can take just a few moments of our time to ask how they are I'm sure it makes what they do worthwhile and appreciated. Thanks for watching and commenting xx
Thank you very much. We love making these vlogs. Cruises are the best holiday. Jess and I hope you have a lovely holiday on board. Thanks for watching and commenting xx
I'm sure you'll love Ventura, she's very dated in some areas compared to Iona but still a very beautiful ship. We had a fantastic time onboard and looking forward to returning back on her one day in the future. Thanks very much for watching and commenting. We hope you have a brilliant holiday 🙂 xx
I'm going on Ventura in November for a 12 night cruise to the Canary Islands. I'm looking forward to it but a little concerned about travelling alone as I have mobility problems. I love your videos, it helps me a lot. However the boarding process seems to take quite a time and I can't stand for long. Maybe there will be some assistance for me. It's my second cruise, first alone and first on P & O 😀
Hope you have an amazing cruise in November. It is rather quick for disabled passengers. Give P&O Cruises a call and I’m sure they will happily talk you through the process. You may have to fill in accessible forms before the cruise so they are aware of you as a disabled passenger. Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
@@KayleighAnne100 Snap us too! Especially over in the states. The tea is OK but you cannot beat proper english teabags. The best American tea is lipton tea yellow label. You normally find it in dennys. That's not a bad brew if you run out of your british tea bags 🙂 xx
We went on Ventura a few weeks before you. I love the ship, she is still beautiful, but the food was the worst I’ve ever had at sea after 20 years of sailing, especially in the buffet. Very little choice apart from curry !! I love a curry, but not every day.
We also loved the Ventura too. I had reservations about it before embarking that it would a bit outdated and small, compared to Iona we had previously sailed on a couple of months before. Yes it was a bit outdated but that's part of the charm of her. On the whole the ship was small and intimate and we had a lovely time just like other cruises we've been on. But your right.... Jessica and myself noticed the buffet particularly at lunch and at the late night buffet, was curry. Now im not a huge curry fan. Maybe a mild chicken korma at best but not every evening. Thanks for watching and commenting. We hope you enjoyed the vlog. - Wayne 🙂
I really love your vlogs. Totally agree with you the Ventura is a lovely ship 👍. It might have just been the week we were on. In the end it was so poor we ate off the ship. Such a shame. Hope you guys had an awesome time.
@@mkbuck3904 We had a fabulous time on her. We've never had a bad cruise tbh. Every one we've been on has been brilliant and memorable in its own special way. Thanks so much for watching, liking and commenting on our vlogs 🙂 xx
Ooh Wayne that was not the look of love when you said Jess dress looks like a lettuce. Loving the vlogs. Have cruised on Britannia Iona Azura and Arcadia and have to agree I love the smaller ships. 😊
Crew doesn’t need all that chatter about when you leave rooms. Like he will see when it is empty or you hung the make up room thing. Imagine if he had to hear this from everyone.
There was probably around 3,000 passengers on board this sailing. how realistically do you think out of those 3,000 people, did anyone stop and chat to the staff and ask them how's their day been etc? Probably not too many. The staff work really hard for many months with long hours, thousands of miles away from their families, so we can have a fabulous holiday. If we can make their day a little bit easier or brighter by speaking to them, then why not? Manners/politeness costs nothing. Thanks for watching and commenting on our vlogs, we hope other then talking to the staff, you enjoyed them. - Wayne 🙂
@@HolidayWithTheHeathers when you keep them busy his work day gets longer and he needs to do so many cabines. When they are off duty or not in a hurry then maybe, otherwise be polite and keep it quick
Thank you very much Alan. much appreciated. im sorry, I dont understand the question regarding the afternoon tea, apologies. But thank you for watching and supporting us 😀 xx
@alanmitchell9062 Apologies, It depends on the ship and the dining room. Some ships offer free afternoon tea on certain days if you book, and some restaurants offer afternoon tea for a cost. On this occasion I do believe it was free of charge and included in the price of the sailing. You'll find that the majority of P&O ships offer a free afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy 😊 xx
Great to see you boarding Ventura - you’ve brought back such great memories for me from this ship! ❤

Wayne, 'I haven't shown what I've got yet.' Oh Wayne, we all know it's good to be a good ol' cuppa tea Mr Tea Belly 😂 x
Haha you know me too well. Can't beat a cuppa tea!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 xx
It's the one thing I take with me on holiday, teabags. Cause no-one does tea like the Brits. My twins are 3 years old and love a cuppa (decaf obvs) x

We didn’t, but it’s handy to have a copy on you just incase they ask to see it. Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️
Are the restaurants meals free or u have to pay for them
Many of the restaurants are free included in the cost of your sailing, some have a cover charge. :)
