My husband introduced Ace Attorney to me when we started dating more than 13 years ago. We have kept up with the series as each game came out and played them together. When we got married a few years ago, this was our first dance song.
I didn’t understood that moment well- Was his wound really bleeding and he was just making some sort of metaphor in regards of his feelings or are those actual tears?
"To err is human. To forgive, divine. Humans aren't machines... they have souls, feelings. They live, they die, they love, they hate... And yes, they even make mistakes."
Mia: "Alright everyone, from the top." Godot: *Looks at music sheet* "Okay, who's the funny guy?" Phoenix: "What's wrong?" Godot: "I can't read my music." Phoenix: "You can't read your... what?" *Phoenix looks at both their papers* "Maya... you printed these papers right?" Maya: "Yup, but the printer only had red ink!" Phoenix: "R-red ink?" Godot: "By the way Wright, I think you forgot to put on your bowtie" Phoenix: (It's not that I forgot, it just that your vision is whack!)

I came here from the game. I actually really didn't like Godot or this theme at first because it all seemed out of place but as I played the game the emotional symbolism behind all of it made him one of my favorites and made this song jump to the top of my list
I remember coming back to this exact video when i was 13/14, 3am, after witnessing another case of my parents fighting, and being immensely crushed by a feeling of loneliness but at the same time, a little comforted. I hoped that maybe one day my life would get a little bit better, but also i was depressed enough to believe that was it: my life will be nothing more than crushing loneliness, stress and sadness. My life is a lot better now, though. I like to believe that this song kinda helped me stick around a little bit more and i couldn't be happier for that. Anyways, remember: bad thing don't last forever, life gets better.
I love this so much, It takes me back to my dad's old apartment, I'd lay on the thin mattress in the spare room with all the boxes and shit my dad hadn't unpacked for years, And i'd stare out the two windows, a lovely turquoise sky outside with no clouds, as i heard the world outside die down for the night, All the while listening to this. Good times, Good times...
People have been mistaken on what made this song so good. Because PewDiePie led you here? Or Tumblr? Try playing the game, guys. It will give you an entirely new meaning to your life. You'll meet the person who holds this theme song. Godot. And you'll be sucked int one of the best franchises ever. The Ace Attorney franchise.
VibrationPunk In his really old videos, he found this Tumblr post that was titled "How to be a Gentleman", this was the origination of why this song is famous but for reasons not Ace Attorney-related. When he was playing CoD in his not famous days, he asked his fans to listen to this song and play Rainymood while looking at a fireplace video as per the contents of the Tumblr post.
Sitting by a fire, in a cold winter midnight, drinking a nice hot coffee, alone, thinking, reminiscing, remembering all those good and warm memories; memories that make you want to be young again, that make you want to stay young forever. Memories that hold snapshots in time that you desperately wish would bring you the same happiness they brought in those young days. Memories that wont be able to be lived the same way back when your heart and life were full of joy and simplicity. This song is nice. This song is comforting.
To err is human. To forgive, divine. Humans aren't machines... they have souls, feelings. They live, they die, they love, they hate... And yes, they even make coffee.
Ladies... Gentlemen, have a seat.... Pick up a wine glass, and settle back to a mournful night of smooooth jazz.... And just let your sorrows melt out, cus this song is for all you blue coffee lovers.
Wow this got way more popular than last time i was here. A lot of people come here because of PewDiePie, but i came here because i love T&T to death and Godot is my favourite prossecutor and i always loved listening to his theme in game. "The only time that lawyer can cry is when it's all over" - Diego Armando ;)
lol i didnt come here from pewdiepie, i came here from my history teacher.. he likes jazz and ace attorney so he keeps playing this whenever the class gets silent lmao
Elinor Shepard Yeah, all the campfire videos I've found are much lower in volume than rainymood, and I can't find rainymood's volume control, so it drowns out the fire crackling.
In my opinion, people who dislike jazz hate it not for its sound, but for its mood. Jazz is such a calming and peaceful genre of music. Unfortunately, to people who like to be very lively and never live a dull moment, jazz depresses them. It makes them feel sad, because of its slow pace, and unique mood. It is for these people I feel the most sorry. Sometimes it is best to slow down a little and enjoy the moment.
+GLaDOS Someone would have to be very stupid for that. I came to this song searching by title (heard it elsewhere) having no idea and never played the game, and as soon as I saw the backdrop image I realized "Oh, so this song is from phoenix wright ace attorney". Worst part is, internet is actually full of people that stupid.
To be honest, I had no idea Pewdiepie used this music in a video until I read some of the comments. I just looked this up because I first heard this song while playing the game, and I could not keep myself from putting this on my video game music playlist. Easily my favorite track in the original trilogy, and second in the whole series (Lying Coldly FTW)
I went to my local coffee shop, and when the barista asked me what I was listening to, all I said back was, "Your ears will never be the same after this," and played this song for him. He looked back and his eyes were wide open, but then I stole back my earbuds and ran to the bookstore with my coffee and cried in the bathroom alone.
Reminds me of the time I was walking alone at 2am on a quiet street in LA. It was just me and the cloudy sky, the wet streets stained by neon. Oh it was just one of those nights a man could never forget. I was 24 years old a the time, a greenhorn, just became a detective. I'll tell you, the guys at the precinct have about as much respect for the badge as your average hoodlum. And did I guy like me really deserve it? Corrupt, just like the rest of them. At first I just told myself it was just a bonus, a little extra for my hard work. Soon enough it was my main source of income. Of course, anyone would expect a guy like me to get tied up in a real tizzy with some trash that calls itself powerful, but not with a dame like her. It was early January, and the chief asked me for a small favor. Told me he wanted a belated christmas gift from 21st and brookner. He said he give me something in return. Nothing strange about it, I'd roughed up these guys before. And there I was, standing at that same corner. Same place I'm standing now. Streelight flickers just like it did then. Stupid me, I had a gun, but I never kept it loaded. After I made all those oaths that I broke, I was handed a gun for defence, but I never used it. I was too scared to take a life. I was about to pound down the door of the local gang, but I heard a siren call from behind. "Detective." Just who in the hell was this? I didn't respond, It could've been anyone. "Detective Steiner, Charley Steiner, from the two-two in Palmera?" It was me she was after. I turned around and I may have blamed the rain at the time, but her beauty was unimaginable. Flaxen hair, red lips, blue eyes, and a face like a greek god. If I hadn't already fallen for her, it would've been the voice that put me over. Silky, seductive, stern. "Yeah, thats me." Such a simple greeting for such a complex women. "I'm Katya Greymane, but most people call me Kat, we have some business to discuss." It was about this time that I began to wonder if this was the "present" I was supposed to pick up for the chief, but I didn't have enough time to think about it. Before I knew it, she hailed a taxi and whisked me away to a diner on the otherside of town. We both ordered coffee. "God, don't you hate working this racket?" She asked. "I don't know what you're talking about Ms. Greymane." "Oh cut the shit Steiner, I know your game. Half the pigs in this city are dirty and I know for a fact you're one of them." "I'm sorry, I'm gonna go. It was nice talking though." I couldn't take anymore pressure, if I was the inexperienced cop being played as a scapegoat I was getting out as soon as possible. I was about to get up, but I heard the tell tale click of a revolver and I stayed seated. "If you're going to drag me all the way up here just to train a gun on me then this must be pretty important. Unfortunatley, I won't be able to tell you much, if anything." "I don't want you to talk now, I need you to watch the chief. Just report on him for me." "And whats to say I'll do that once we make some distance?" She pulled out a small envelope from her jacket pocket. "Theres a bit of money in there and some further instructions. This is the last time we'll meet face to face. Oh, and if you lie to me, I'll know." I handed the money over to the chief when I got back to the precinct.
I love this song, but I seriously wonder how many people who found this song know that it's from a video game about lawyers. Not that it really matters though. Godot's theme, especially this rendition of it, is just so damn pleasing to listen to.
Remembered a Reddit post with this video and a fireplace and rain. Thru sheer luck I found this again. Have been listening to this every once in a while for many years
Heavy, thick. The smell of rain drove people inside. When the storm came on this part of town it smelled of washed up cigarettes and broken dreams. The bar was filled with strangers, drinking in shared solitude. She stood there talking to her unsuspecting victim. With every coy smile and playful tap the man fell deeper in her trap. The lady in red.
A fresh, steaming cup of black coffee, a rainy afternoon, this song playing on surround-sound speakers, and not a care in the world. The best kind of post-work relaxation.
i found this song with no context on tumblr roughly ten years ago, and it became my go-to background music to chill and study to for a while. fast forward to 2022 and i’m playing ace attorney, and something sounds very familiar. at the end of Turnabout Beginnings i finally went back and searched up my old song and here it is.. it’s the same one. so now it’s double nostalgic 🥺
This song will forever be part of my "lost years" memories 2009-2012. Frankly no idea what I did during those 3-4 years. Oh well I've picked up ever since.
Just imagine yourself, in a small town coffee shop, enjoying your favorite book, it's mildly thunder storming outside, droplets of water drizzle down the window as you look up to observe the goers of this fine shop. Then you realize, that this is comfort for your soul.
Gosto muito dessa composição musical. É belíssima, ouço ela com certa frequência já faz uns 5 anos e ainda hoje, sinto todos os pelos do corpo se arrepiando quando estou ouvindo. In rare occasions i set my fireplace on, when it's rainy outside, then get comfortable in my padded chair, with this beautiful art smoothly vibrating my eardrums...
Bom ver outro brasileiro apreciador desta bela arte musical da Capcom cara, track simplesmente incrível, e eu tento até hoje tocar no meu teclado, enquanto eu já tenho decorado no sax.
Man, this is...perfect. If the gang didn't become lawyers they would be a rocking band, I mean just look at Godot rocking the sax. The bass looks like it was MADE for Edgeworth, Maya playing the piano is adorable and serene, and we got Phoenix on snare. Now all we need is a name.
Man I thought all the views came from people who have played the Ace Attorney Series, but meh. As long as this brings more people into the series somehow, then I guess it's fine lol.
I used to listen to Jazz like this when my grandparents lived in Eugene, I can still recall the relaxing smell of that house and all the trinkets they collected from the world.
I heard this in one of those "songs to study with" videoes. It helped so much through a lot of projects in high school. I was both shocked and happy to hear it came from a series that I recently found a love for :)
One of my favorite soundtracks in the entire Ace Attorney franchise... in snazzy jazz. I recommend listening it while enjoying a nice, hot cup of coffee or any other beverages in a cold, rainy night while sitting in front of the warmth of the fireplace, accompanied by a good book (or just listen to this however way you like it *shot*). Enjoy.
The trees are swaying side the side outside my window, and the sound of the wind rustling the leaves has taken me to point of relaxation i've never experienced before.
I have arrived back upon this moonlit scene, after my viewing of a Let’s Play of Trials and Tribulations has just now come to its official end. Knowing the context behind these notes makes everything hit heavier now, and yet it remains a soothing piece. This is one of my favorite covers of anything, honestly, and everybody involved should be proud. This is the ultimate chill music. Thank you.
an old friend put me on to the ace attorney series around the beginning of my college years back in 2014, and i fell in love with the soundtrack pretty quick. i had this specific version of godot’s theme playing in the background during my study sessions either at home or at the lounge at school quite a lot. i finally graduated last year, but its strange how some songs and ost’s become so sentimental and give me a lot of nostalgia - even if it doesnt feel like that long ago
Huh.....I was wondering why this suddenly had an explosive number of views. Haven't listened to this in a while. I thought 'wow guess more people got into Phoenix Wright'. I see now it's because of PDP. Kinda disappointing that it wouldn't have higher number of views just because it's good jazz. Well enjoy the music. Get into the series as an optional bonus.
***** Please don't mention PewDiePie here. You're ruining it for the people who want to listen to the song, and think of all the ways to yell at Capcom for not putting Godot in Dual Destinies.

Fourteen years, and still I find myself coming back to this on occasion just to shut my eyes and vibe. God, what lovely sounds.
I just remember my memories playing the game. I really loved this game and the soundtracks. Nintendo needs to make another Ace Attorney game.
*Capcom, but yes
Oh... Sorry. I just learned about this series.
Don't worry about it. Just enjoy the music!
😁
People have been mistaken on what made this song so good. Because PewDiePie led you here? Or Tumblr? Try playing the game, guys. It will give you an entirely new meaning to your life.
You'll meet the person who holds this theme song. Godot. And you'll be sucked int one of the best franchises ever. The Ace Attorney franchise.
BlackandBitter True. Ace Attorney has changed my life.
BlackandBitter Why are everyone saying that pewdiepie has led people here? Has he linked this in a video or something like that?
VibrationPunk In his really old videos, he found this Tumblr post that was titled "How to be a Gentleman", this was the origination of why this song is famous but for reasons not Ace Attorney-related.
When he was playing CoD in his not famous days, he asked his fans to listen to this song and play Rainymood while looking at a fireplace video as per the contents of the Tumblr post.
BlackandBitter Godot. case 5. in about 40 lines of text he became the most develeloped prosecutor in the series
BlackandBitter A discussion about some characters favorite music.
This song is comforting.
forever alone ...
yep... forever...
And just let your sorrows melt out, cus this song is for all you blue coffee lovers.
nope, try to pick up a cup of coffee
*picks one up* Now what?
Now relax, drink 17 of them, and keep the track of the music
Ok..... (not gonna be able to sleep tonight...)

Wow this got way more popular than last time i was here. A lot of people come here because of PewDiePie, but i came here because i love T&T to death and Godot is my favourite prossecutor and i always loved listening to his theme in game.

JakexSpace true dat! the original ace attorney trilogy is one of my favorite game series
+JakexSpace I came here cause of an *_actual good_* LPlayer *NCS* is playing the games--- and cause i love this series ovbiously XD
how is this even related to pewdiepie
lol i didnt come here from pewdiepie, i came here from my history teacher.. he likes jazz and ace attorney so he keeps playing this whenever the class gets silent lmao
6 years late but a teacher that loves ace attorney? What a boss
OMG what a teacher
I wanna be that teacher
i came here cause i wanted to hear music while studing
big fan of ace attorney
y'a like jazz ?
This here, is pure solid gold. I thank the geniuses behind the creation of this quality music.
The moment I first heard the original from the game, I knew I would never stop listening to it.
It's a shame is was used only a few selected moments of dialouge when Godot is saying one of his metaphors.
I hope you're both doing just as well, if not better after all these years.
@@yellobanana6456 Hell yeah now I can now buy the soundtrack on Steam with my own card as a full grown up
wait that hurts
This would be such a premium background music for any coffee shop
Completely deserving of its 6 million views. The most beautiful jazz piece I've ever heard. The best game I've ever played. Amazing.
Now 10 million
6 million in 5 years? that's just unbelievable
This + rainymood + campfire. Dim the lights.
*Dim the fire.
Elinor Shepard
I always have trouble finding a campfire loud enough.
Loud enough?!
Elinor Shepard
Yeah, all the campfire videos I've found are much lower in volume than rainymood, and I can't find rainymood's volume control, so it drowns out the fire crackling.
Ohhh... That makes sense.
Sometimes it is best to slow down a little and enjoy the moment.
amen
I think you only listen to a specific subset of jazz then.
For me, it's people like them who don't know anything about real, good music.

The funny thing is that 5/6 of the people here have no idea this is from Ace Attorney and think this is just a chill jazz song from a random anime.
+GLaDOS I thought it's was just a random jazz song, but I saw Phoenix Wright and his crew and then noticed the soundtrack.
+GLaDOS aha my friend thought that I corrected him and now loves the game
+GLaDOS Someone would have to be very stupid for that. I came to this song searching by title (heard it elsewhere) having no idea and never played the game, and as soon as I saw the backdrop image I realized "Oh, so this song is from phoenix wright ace attorney".
Worst part is, internet is actually full of people that stupid.
I first found it by the "America Jazz Fireplace" title
that's me
To be honest, I had no idea Pewdiepie used this music in a video until I read some of the comments.

He looked back and his eyes were wide open, but then I stole back my earbuds and ran to the bookstore with my coffee and cried in the bathroom alone.
r/thathappened
"Detective Steiner, Charley Steiner, from the two-two in Palmera?"
It was me she was after.
"I'm Katya Greymane, but most people call me Kat, we have some business to discuss."
It was about this time that I began to wonder if this was the "present" I was supposed to pick up for the chief, but I didn't have enough time to think about it. Before I knew it, she hailed a taxi and whisked me away to a diner on the otherside of town. We both ordered coffee.
"God, don't you hate working this racket?" She asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about Ms. Greymane."
"Oh cut the shit Steiner, I know your game. Half the pigs in this city are dirty and I know for a fact you're one of them."
"I'm sorry, I'm gonna go.
Unfortunatley, I won't be able to tell you much, if anything."
"I don't want you to talk now, I need you to watch the chief. Just report on him for me."
"And whats to say I'll do that once we make some distance?"
She pulled out a small envelope from her jacket pocket.
"Theres a bit of money in there and some further instructions. This is the last time we'll meet face to face. Oh, and if you lie to me, I'll know."
I handed the money over to the chief when I got back to the precinct.
I love this song, but I seriously wonder how many people who found this song know that it's from a video game about lawyers.
Not that it really matters though. Godot's theme, especially this rendition of it, is just so damn pleasing to listen to.
Doesn't matter where it's from, music is music. The fact that it's from a video game shouldn't change that.
this track is already jazz
how can it be more jazz
If The Consouls cover it (twice, this is the studio version - there is also a livestream version) ruclips.net/video/a0BXZjK7pqw/видео.html
just jazz harder
Listening to this while enjoying a cup of coffee, 💯
Remembered a Reddit post with this video and a fireplace and rain. Thru sheer luck I found this again. Have been listening to this every once in a while for many years
"The only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over"...
But... But... It's so beautiful !
"The weak get washed away by the tides of fate...The strong drink it up." -Godot

Huh. I'm pretty sure you don't know about the game this song comes from, but this kinda describes Dahlia Hawthorne pretty well.
I will always come back here.
I’ve been listening to this song for almost 5 years, it still holds a place in my heart for the music that is perfect for the rainy days
Soon to be on Spotify but here is the clip of The Consouls cover ruclips.net/video/a0BXZjK7pqw/видео.html

I heard this in one of those "songs to study with" videoes. It helped so much through a lot of projects in high school. I was both shocked and happy to hear it came from a series that I recently found a love for :)
This is some good-ass music.

More like a cup of coffee
One of my favorite soundtracks in the entire Ace Attorney franchise... in snazzy jazz. I recommend listening it while enjoying a nice, hot cup of coffee or any other beverages in a cold, rainy night while sitting in front of the warmth of the fireplace, accompanied by a good book (or just listen to this however way you like it *shot*). Enjoy.

The trees are swaying side the side outside my window, and the sound of the wind rustling the leaves has taken me to point of relaxation i've never experienced before.
Who's still loving this in 2019?
im in 2020!
Thank you.
helps me calm down a bit after having a breakdown from my stress and depression.. great song i must say
an old friend put me on to the ace attorney series around the beginning of my college years back in 2014, and i fell in love with the soundtrack pretty quick. i had this specific version of godot’s theme playing in the background during my study sessions either at home or at the lounge at school quite a lot. i finally graduated last year, but its strange how some songs and ost’s become so sentimental and give me a lot of nostalgia - even if it doesnt feel like that long ago
There's a hip argentinian bakery in my town, and they play this song sometimes. Chills y'all.
Pewdiepie boosted this?
TrueFriends HelpMoveBodies Maybe so, but most people listen to this in a setlist with rainymood.com.
