I started woodworking during the pandemic. Nothing clears the head like listening to a book and making sawdust. The sense of accomplishment of looking at something you conceptualized, designed, milled the lumber, put it together, then use is really gratifying.
Also, all the best steaks I’ve ever eaten were made cooking outside over a fire pit at the deer camp. Wood smoked ribeye is the best.
All you’re ideas in this video are good ones

I invited four of my friends over and taught them how to can. We split the cost and everyone took home food, and we got to spend over 6 hours hanging out. We all want to hang out but have those “being so busy” excuses and so I figured, we’ve all got to eat so let’s hang out while we cook, picked a date and whalaa! The best of times for very low cost. ❤

I started learning how to wire wrap rings because I came down with a health problem 7 years ago. I just needed something to keep my mind occupied. Well it cost me about 40 dollars to get started. The first 10 probably took me 20 minutes each and they weren't very well made at all but I kept trying and after the first 100 rings I've learned how to make a very nice wire wrapped ring. I sell some every now and then for 10 dollars each and lots of people buy more. You are so right about keeping on learning how to do new things that are constructive and it helps mentally. I have 2200 rings together at this time, I kid around about them being my 401 k. I also have enough material to put 2000 more together. Over the past 7 years I've sold enough rings that everything is paid for just because I wanted to keep myself occupied. And yes I'm still fighting the good fight. God bless you for being you

Pam here….how did your house build go? Are you going to share a video about it? As that is my free hobby is dissecting home plans and designs, redrawing them. I love to see new ideas for space planning or for making your living easier.

Hey Pam! No plans to do a house video in the near future, but maybe someday. But THIS is a great idea -- thank you for reminding me to get to something I'd forgotten on my to-do list! (Working up the basement floor plan. ;) )

Praying is an awesome way to connect with God …. You can literally talk to him like you’d talk to a friend! I’m retired now and everything you’ve mentioned are great ways to just do “self care”!

God Bless you for all that you share to encourage young people that money doesn't buy happiness.
Meditation is so critical to detoxing the brain of harmful elements, be them thoughts, or toxins that we all have circulating through our systems.
Last, but most important is talking to God. Asking Him for guidance and giving Him our gratitude for all that we have, not that in which we do not have. This practice has helped me heal from a near death accident and put me on a path of faith that I never imagined I would be one.
God Bless everyone of you, my brothers and sisters and may you all know that help is only a thought away.🙏

This is great. Thank you. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a good PSA and it’s got me motivated to be active. Just saying this stuff out loud can really help make it a reality for people, like myself. Can you do another one of these when it gets cold? I’m out in Wisconsin and it’s gonna be getting cold soon. I’d love to hear your thoughts on social activities in the winter in Wisconsin. Anyways, I hope you are doing well, have a good day.

Sleigh rides and hay rides, bon fires, snow ball wars, building ice castles or luge courses, cross country skiing, making babies, inventing new recipes, helping neighbours shovel, anything you didn't have time for all summer!
      Hope that helps some.

Not sure I have the attention span for meditation, but you’ve encouraged me to try it!
While I’m praying, I loose focus and start thinking of other things.
Maybe it will help me with that.
    TY!
    Blessings!

Haha...Simply awesome! Editing aside....Do you ever stop talking, in real life? JK! My favorite thing to do, is hanging with neighbors, and figuring out what they could use or need...Then, if possible... Just do it on the "down low". It's amazing how many boxes you can check with this. The "dividends" are priceless. Thanx for the motivation!!!

If you can help your neighbor especially the elderly maybe just a hour a week, with give you so much joy in life. Mark 12:31 You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

I love your channel, all are so true. In northern Canada a lot of people haven't got sucked completely into the matrix yet. We had family from Texas come to our house and they sadly seemed so alien, all of them had multiple self diagnosed issues and just seemed miserable. simple is good.

As a musician, I would not recommend anyone renting an instrument like a harmonica, (Or any wind instrument), from a library. You don't know who else's lips or spit, or germs or disease has infected the instrument. Otherwise, all sound advice.
