The thing about the Buxom...you can basically "shape" the EQ to cut more, or less...or anywhere in between. Or, not have it at all! The tight control is excellent and the amount of "boost" it's capable of is staggering. A GREAT pedal!
I do know that I can get my Timmy pedal to sounds almost identical to the HBE or "boost" Channel in my 2014 BE100. Sounds amazing switching from BE rhythm. I'd say out of the few pedals I've tried the HBE is the boost that works best for me with solos to get into scorching leads with nice feedback, atleast in a live situation.
Love the Buxom. However, the Koko can target low mids and high mids. Buxom can only target mids in general? But I guess you can add in kids and highs to get more of a low mid or high mid feel. Koko can also adjust the Q.
Are you using your ax8 with friedman JJ head only for FX ? If so, how you did it that there is no hiss and how you switch the channels on a head ? ax8 has no relays..thanks for an answer :)
For that rig (gone almost 2 years ago) The axe was in the loop for effects, likely running 2 gates -in Axe. These days using the G string ISP pedal for gating in front and loop of amps with real pedals -keep analog analog and digital digital!
cragginshred would you say isp g string is the best noise gate or are there some better ones ? Also thinking about using axe fx8 with my be-50, but I am not sure about noise floor level
@@obestertomas I think so, Fortin makes a great Gate too. The ky is to gate the front end and in the loop too. Many with just one in/out cannot do that.

Thanks.. been waiting to hear both thru a Friedman amp, have a be100 and want a boost instead of the sat switch on the amp. Sounds awsome man!!

Which pedal do you prefer and why?
I kept the buxom because it had more options and did the same thing the Koko did plus more.
