    A Dane here!
    Your creations look very beautiful, it just shows that open sandwich is a cultural thing, your sandwiches are suited to your culture. Yeah, we are using rye bread, it is our culture.
    If I should give a bid on the Danish taste, your ham would be a clear winner, it would please the eye of a Dane. Actually, we do make smørrebrød with white bread. Open sandwich with cheese are usually on white bread and normally eaten as the last one at the lunch, often with a cop of coffee. White bread with cheese can also be made in many ways. I have seen cheese with kiwi on white bread.
    Greetings from Denmark.

    Nice! I like the single slice of bread as I have to be low-no carb because of pre-diabetes. Though, how do you travel with these to a party? Seems like they will get messed up with laying wrap on them.

    • @EasyPeasyKitchen
      @EasyPeasyKitchen  7 месяцев назад

      I cut the wrap on the kitchen bench and then carefully drape it over the plate. It usually works well without ruining the presentation.

    Next time try to use rugbrød, as it’s what’s commonly used, you could also make the more traditional smørrebrød like: christiansø sild, rørt tatar, fiskefillet or hønsesalat. Just reccomendations

    • @EasyPeasyKitchen
      @EasyPeasyKitchen  2 года назад +3

      I'm sure they would be delicious as they are the traditional options. Hard to find those exact types of bread in New Zealand as they're not that common.

      @@EasyPeasyKitchen The bread you are using can also work, but if you see rye bread definitely grab it :)

      @@EasyPeasyKitchen not anymore, I used to years ago and jam. I tried the fig and date recently and thought I have to buy that, but here it has balsamic in it, where as the one I tasted didn’t. ❤️

      Balsamic adds so much flavour doesn't it! I've been putting some in my lasagne meat mixture too!
