    Thank you for the informative video, dealer wanted $280 to change the oil pressure sensor switch. Part cost $20 and it only took me 90 minutes to jack the car up on stands and work on the ground. Great job!!!! Stay Cool !!!!

    Randomly found this channel while looking for info about hybrids as I'm about to buy a toyota fielder. I'm also from trinidad so I was surprised when I clicked the previous video and I saw trinidad vehicle plates.
    Exceptional content, well explained and well editted
    I hope you are the highest paid mechanic at your workplace also as your knowledge is far greater than mechanics I Have dealt with in the past

    I had this issue in U.K. AA towed car home! Got part and replaced at local garage. Also had to replace 12v battery and this is a major problem on these cars. IONIQ 2017 HEV.
    Thanks for your channel, now it makes sense.

    Good information to have, mine PHEV Ioniq is only 40,000 km so it's still pretty healthy. Cautionary tales like this is very helpful.

    Thank you for your videos - my 2019 PHEV Niro has several issues - seems like Kia should be making a recall - as my car has about 16k miles on it so far - so far the dealer has not been able to rectify an undercarriage noise that happens right after breaking while driving - seems like a propeller blade brushing up against something immediately on breaking - and the steering wheel has gotten stiffer to turn - will be taking it back to the dealer again - to see if they have a fix - as they have not helped on two previous visits (simply refusing to admit that there is even a noise).

    Thanks Jose. Since many of us own these cars would you put the mileage of the vehicle in the video title especially when you have vehicle failures? It will help with my/our expectations. 😃 OH BTW there is another problem: the steering wheel on this car is on the wrong side! Oh oh wait sorry you're in the carribean. I wonder what island 😃

    My brother-in-law has a 2020 Kia Niro hybrid, the car is not working because they said it was running without oil. The mechanic put another used engine, but the car still won't start. The mechanic said he has to take the car to Kia so they can reset the hybrid. How do you do this reset? If this is true 🤔
    The reset is not make by scanner?

      2020 Ioniq came with oil to very top of dipstick indicator. Had 22000 service and they still had the oil to the top. I have a skinny hose and suction pump and lowered the level. But, why do they over fill the ICE?

      I’m with this person. It’s such a tight squeeze, I can’t get leverage to loosen the sensor. I don’t have a lift and am using jack stands. It’s a little difficult to get to

    • @yurivic
      @yurivic Год назад

      @@knightdreamer21 My local dealer replaced the sensor for free as the car was still under 60K warranty. If you were the original owner, the warranty should be good till 100K.

    Scotty was right! If your gonna by a hybrid, get a Toyota hybrid. They’ve been perfecting them for over 20 years.

    • @yurivic
      @yurivic 2 года назад +3

      1) Car manufactures are not in a business of perfecting cars. They are in a business of making money and toyota with recent global recalls is not an exception. 2) There are many toyota hybrids and some are worse than others. Buy a toyota hybrid statement doesn't make sense as it doesn't specify which one. 3) Some newer priuses are worse than their older models. 4) A prius is no match to Kia Niro which beats it in comfort, space, mpg, and reliability.
