- "Jenifer Lewis and Shangela," a scripted series, follows the comic adventures of Ms. Lewis and D.J. Pierce (aka Shangela) as the show biz mega-diva mentors the up-and-coming drag performer, who lives in the basement apartment of her Hollywood mansion. The series was directed by Emmy-winner Mary Lou Belli. "Doo Doo" written by Mark Alton Brown & Dee LaDuke. New episodes on Wednesdays in September.

Listen very carefully, Mr. NYC. I did this web series for FUN. With all the work I've done in my career, I'm at a point where I can pretty much do whatever I want. That in itself is a huge accomplishment. And if you are in fact a fan, all you need to know is that I had a blast working on this.
