      @@romeorifles300 I hate that you guys in Washington have to deal with such a corrupt tyrannical government, I’m in Oregon and we are going through the same shit at least at this point we had a couple of wins in the courts so fingers crossed measure 114 never becomes law.

    I like to leave one mag in each ammo can when it's full just in case

      So far the BVA is shooting pretty good, the first batch appears to be Vympel. Later batches were corrosive apparently. Thanks for watching!

    I got 960rds of the barnual/polyformance into a few 50 cal cans. You have to trash the boxes and only use the paper pack on the inside.

    Thanks for the video. Was able to fit 49/50 boxes of Tula into a .50 cal box. I think the Tula boxes may be ever so slightly larger or thicker. Last one was just too much of a squeeze to get in.

      Yea you right, even the slightly thicker cardboard packaging could throw things off a bit. Still glad you got your ammo all packed up. Thanks for watching!

    Hows the BVA ammo so far? Says non corrosive case but websites saying its a corrosive primer? Thank you!

    • @romeorifles300
      @romeorifles300  Год назад

      Long story but basically my BVA ammo came from the first shipments back in Feb 22, with non-corrosive primers. Later on around April it seems some shipments were loaded with corrosive primers. I think it was an issue direct from the factory in Russia. Unlcear now if BVA is still imported or not via non-Russian sources. Thanks for watching!

      @@romeorifles300 Good info to hear, After a 1k rounds of Tula my bolt carrier on my M70 got some weird rust'ish looking after 200rounds every range day or a day after been buffing it with a metal brush.

    • @romeorifles300
      @romeorifles300  Год назад

      @@spinebreaker4507 I think its always a safe bet to run a little water down the barrel and bolt/bolt carrier after each trip, then dry and re-oil. But honestly at some point all the corrosive import ammo will dry up since no more is coming in.

    Take your ammo out of the box cardboard/paper attracts water from condensation and put oxygen absorbers in as well

    • @romeorifles300
      @romeorifles300  Год назад

      I usually toss in 3 desiccant packets in each can. So far I have 12 cans with 5.56 or other calibers in original cardboard type packaging and it seems to be ok so far as I check them yearly, but thats just my experience so far. Thanks for watching!

  • @mrdato116
    @mrdato116 Год назад +1

    Will 5.56 take less space?

    • @romeorifles300
      @romeorifles300  Год назад +1

      Usually yes. If you use the regular rectangle 20rd boxes of 5.56, like PMC, Wolf, Winchester white box, then it fills up the entire can perfectly. I prefer to keep my ammo in the cardboard packaging, but some people just dump the loose rounds; if you that then the can has a good amount of space leftover. Thanks for watching!

      Luckily I got these cases back in Feb, right before they switched over to corrosive primers (but didn't label them as such). I believe the corrosive ones shipped around April which was when people found out. Thanks for watching!

    Possibly a bit overkill, but instead of having the top middle ridge I take out the ammo and put in in there loose so there is no pressure on the ammo from the center fold of the ammo can lid. Also toss in mini desiccant baggies to absorb any moisture.

    • @romeorifles300
      @romeorifles300  2 года назад +1

      Yep im with you there, I save some of the desiccant packs from shoe boxes and stuff and toss them in. Thanks for watching!

    • @romeorifles300

      These cases were labeled "Made in Russia." I got these right before the war kicked off, so its highly likely this same ammo will be imported from Krygystan soon due to the sanctions.

      @@Raven_of_Doom Although its labeled no-corrosive, some friends on the AK reddit forum did some testing with the ammo to confirm its corrosive, well at least the recent BSP Kyrgyz labeled ammo from BVA. Be very careful if you ordered some of this ammo from post - March 2022 as it may be corrosive even though labeled as corrosive.
