Get all your cars prepped and ready. Then come the day you have options...no last minute rushing around. Best to be prepared so your racing experience is always pleasant instead of stressful. Just my 2 cents worth... (2 cents Canadian or a quarter farthing in old money).
Great organizational tips. I ran an M06 for about two summers and it was very fast off the line and had great top speed, but it took more tuning and very good tires to get it to handle in the tight sections of the track.
@@PopalongRC Ii don't think my setup skills were up to the task of getting it to handle in the tight sections of the track. I think there's a balance issue with all the weight in the rear like an off road buggy.
Hi Carl. Im booked in for the Iconic cup m chassis class, primarily with the m06 however to be honest, I'll also be taking with me an m02m, an m03 and an m05, all set up ready to race. It will be rwd when dry and fwd when damp or wet however the main priority is to have fun and enjoy the racing 🏁. I'm also looking at trying out quite a range of bodyshells just for fun. Btw, look forward to you coming to visit us at Broxtowe again this year, should be a good one 😊
the dark box will be tough to see parts in. I always use a light color when possible. That goes for pit mats too. Hard to see a black plastic part or screw on a black mat.
I do similar with all my cars! Think B&M and Home Bargains were where I got my boxes from, and used a sharpie to write on the side of them so I know which is which, but I've still got 2 80 litre boxes full of stuff from my old rc car shop I had, and I closed that in 2013.
Put your parts into baggies/little containers and then into the compartments so it doesn't fly in all directions when you reach for a cuppa and miss...
How would you rate the old Banzai as a bit of practice basher? Was thinking about getting one for the boy to batter during the week so at the weekend he's about to use his real car you know? Otherwise we're always waiting on bits (Carten) or mending it or painting another shell 🙂 he got it stuck under the fence at Adur the other day 😀🏁
We only live in Worthing and we've got the gate code to the track 🙂 Adur is a proper boss club like that! 🏁 But yeah, a decent car park bash is always on the cards too 🙂 I might look into one 🇯🇵
can anyone tell me the difference between an outdoor tyre and an indoor tyre of the same type. They both look the same to me. Racing both TT02 and Blinky class (1st season)
I bought some new stuff after a RUclips recommendation yesterday, fibatape extreme it was called. Proper sticky, stayed exactly where I wanted whilst I was gluing it. Also the glue I used was half the price of the shoegoo, supposed to be just as good if not better so we'll see. That was called E6000 🙂
You never know what is going to break on the day so take all three and be prepared for whatever happens.
Sounds like a smart idea
Sounds like your having a blast. Wrenching, tinkering and speccing out is great fun.
RC is more than just racing
I’ve just rebuilt my childhood M03 Mini so my vote goes there. It’s a fun, simple car to work on.
You’re not wrong
M06 for iconic ,good few booked in ,must be a reason ,they certainly better out the corners
Might have to sort all 3

Haha sound advice

I had some success with the M06 but mainly against beginner drivers never got it to perform against seasoned M chassis racers

I think you should run all your Minis in the iconic cup including the mbo1 of you can and m06.
MB01 is on display in the shop at the moment

Got some prep to do

Next level details
Run all three I like the idea of being prepared for what ever ! Cheers mate
3 cars then I have back ups

Good call

Good tip
Yeah, spend your money so we don't have to spend ours!
Hahaha
That Lipo bag on your work bench is no good. Get your self a real ammo can. Thanks for sharing.
Not wrong

If you find a flat car park it would be great with a few cones out

Run the M05 as it's more predictable and you can still get parts for it

Why isn't Mark doing as many videos as you?
Marks been on holiday so Carl is holding the fort …
M05 or better still an M07
M07 too new for iconic
I've always put the mesh down first, it's sticky, then applied shoe-goo. Anybody else do it this way and which way is better?

Yeah my mesh was so old it lost its stick so added goo to get it started
@deanmurphy-brown4452 good to know
