Greetings Nico welcome back!!! I didn’t realise you’d uploaded some recent YT vids but I’ve notified it so it will now let me know of any upcoming vids. This John McLaughlin album sounds marvellous!! A fantastic guitarist for sure.
Another album which I used to have which is also very good that features a guest of session jazz musicians, including McLaughlin, is called ‘Spaces’ or ‘Space’. From what I remember it was created in the same year as this album and also sports a beautiful psychedelic cover.
Once again it’s nice to have you back man!!!

Hey Klaus! Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it even though I can be a slow responder (I have taken a fair amount of time off from my channel which sometimes is a good thing). Thanks for the tip on "Spaces" with McLaughlin! I will definitely check that one out.
Take care and thanks for your kind words, Klaus!

    Hi, god to see you!
Even though we foten used to wind down after looong party session in the 90`s with Miles - Big Fun, it has taken me the past 10 years to sink into the more out there stuff.
So, this album in my want list. ;)
    Take care.

Hey Joachim and thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I don't listen to jazz all the time. I tend to listen to jazz in periods, and then it's jazz exclusively...after a while I slip into the rock universe again. Now I'm in the middle of a jazz bubble. Each time I discover something new and buy more records. I'm very fond of hard bop, post bop, avantarde and free jazz + of course some early jazzrock/fusion. I hope you find this album. It shouldn't be too hard and it shouldn't cost you more than 20 euros or thereabout. Take care!

Hi Nico, Thanks for the recommendation. This is sounding quite good, as I'm listening to it now. I cant recall ever seeing this one before, but I don't hang out in the jazz bins either. Since I work in a store and have access to listen to whatever I what, I have been exploring a bit of jazz. Miles is my favorite jazz artist at the moment. Been listening to quite a bit of James Brown lately at the store also, I dig his 70s funk stuff. Later on and be well, Ron

Hey Ron! Thanks for stopping by. Perhaps this album isn't too common in the US, but here it isn't hard to find. I agree, Miles Davis has done so much and there's something for everyone in his catalogue. I'm very into Miles Davis Quintet (the second great quintet) with Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Wayne Shorter and Tony Williams these days. Working in a record shop seems like a dream job. I'd love to work in a record shop, but that's not economically viable where I live. Take care and talk to you soon. Ps: I'm sending you an e-mail soon about some records for your VCLT.

The album has a different cover Ron. It has an orange tinted picture of him playing guitar on the front cover. I love James Brown. I’m doing ten best albums by the year. For 1969 I listened to Say It Loud I’m Black And I’m Proud. The title song is a favorite. The second song on the album sounds like something a lounge singer would do. As far as full albums his early 70’s stuff is the best.

Had to check. Mine has a different cover.

Yeah, me too. I never see the jazz guys talk about that one. Maybe it's not hip enough.

Yeah the cover with McLaughlin outside didn't last long. It was only on the original UK marmalade issue + a couple of Polydor issues. Mine is an original German issue, a cheap alternative to the og UK.
