To my knowledge, Simplex has not rebranded the horn/strobe you see before you. I do know they rebranded the horn only version that has the trim, but cannot pin the model number. The surface mount version (without the trim) is the 2901-9838.
I got my hands on a Potter Fireguard 4000! Also, probably a stupid observation, but I'm guessing the system trouble is because a backup battery isn't hooked up, right?
Took a look at some of your videos of your new panel, looks like a simple, but awesome panel as well, similar to this one. And you're correct, the trouble is the lack of battery. Admittedly, I only set this thing off for tests like this, and don't use it very much. Therefore, I haven't bothered to search for a battery, or even a cabinet for that matter. If this were a bigger, more permanent setup, then I would probably take the time to find a battery. Doesn't help I've been super busy for that matter.
These horns we in my elementary school and the used to startle the hell out of me.
Very cool! I like the notification unit you chose.
The sound is super cool too. It almost does a warble of some sort
Thanks! It is a really nice unit, and definitely sounds cool on FWR!
Didn't Simplex rebrand that FOS horn strobe? I've swear I've seen a Simplex horn strobe that looks just like it.

***** maybe the other one is the 9833?
the version with the trim is the 9840
Cool! Have you ever thought of using more then 1 pull station?
I have thought of that. I definitely would like to do it at some point, but more than likely, I will save it for a special occasion of some sort.
Ahh I see :)

Hey, is there any place you know of where you can actually buy the Monaco Vulcan 1.?
Not that I know of other than eBay if it even pops up on there.
You should get a Potter S-120 and compare the horn with your commander 3.
As usual, if I get an alarm, I will be happy to make a vid on it.
Do est genisus and a notifier pull station
