Shitty Chinese hecklers at 1:08:00 screaming when Oshima is serving. Disgrace.

Shouting during a rally is a thing you just do not do. I guess Chinese crowd was afraid to see Ma Long lose in a home game. But he is also human, which this game is proving to me. One of my favorites until these hecklers come in and destroy the decision..

DreiZ but one thing I hate the most is when you're playing at the local league and your parents can't even clap when I win a point because this old people are saying that it is disrespectful, get fucked

    • @davesplatz
      @davesplatz 7 лет назад

Valentinas Riauba Well, you should get over that anyways. For example, we have an unwritten rule about net balls. When a ralley contained a net ball, you do not clap at the end of it, even when it was overwhelming. I find that pretty stupid so I clap and receive the talk from the people an try to live with it. Everything is practice, also behavior.

*Had Oshima slayed the dragon Ma Long here and then beaten Xu Xin at the following final to win the 2015 China Open, then he would have been like the tennis superstar Andre Aggassi being a qualifier to win the 1994 US Open against all odds. The “Big Four” Chinese wall is simply too strong for Oshima to break. Just look at what happened to Maharu Yoshimura who casued irrational sensations only to be defeated at the final of the 2015 Japan Open against Xu Xin not long ago.* ★★★★★

Japanese coaches got better now compared to the past. The time out for Oshima at 10:9 in the third games was very wise. Japanese players are not bad, but their coach ain't, compared to Chinese coaches.

Incredible how Yuya's serves are similar to Ma Long's :O

It looks like Malong had some mental breakdown mid game, and partially recovered and limped to a finish. Missing smashes multiple times after forcing oshima away from table, and become completely unprepared when his shots come back... It's simply not malong like

I saw that feeling on the face of Ma Long first time ever...I know how he hated himself and that feeling...Oshima had got the best of him.

thank goodness ma long figured it out at the end. lucky he tends to use bh serve to short fh when he's running out of ideas.
oshima in the 7th when he's most tired would have the greatest difficulty covering wide fh with the uncertainty of having to play fh from wide bh to finish. furthermore, speed rippers hitting low over the net have more trouble against underspin.
if there was any time to start pinning wide fh, ma long picked the right time to do it.
experience. that's why he's #1 with the highest win rate ever!

Ma Long is not powerful player. His oponents are weak players compared to him. Definetely each one of his oponents have thousand of chances to win yet all make stupid mistakes. For all that claim Ma Long is inhuman its not. Ma Long has many weakneses. However his oponents doesnt exploit them. To study him, to play faster, stronger, more accurate, element of surprise, fast change directions. Not its like they say "well its Ma Long he is the best i dont have chance againts" And they lose the match even before the match. Ma Long is not machine. He cant make 1000 shots at same speed, angle, position and to hit target with human hair size in sequence at max speed without mistake. Not 100, not even 10. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely. And pretty much. So his oponents must train to improve their accuracy and speed. Thats it. They must train hard. Till then Ma Long will be on top of them. After will be on last position. Right now Ma Long thinks "i'm the BEST no one can defeat me". Its psyhological problem rather than physical.

I agree with you partially. what Ma Long achieved is because of his hard training. It's easy to say just be faster or train harder, but it's not easy to actually do that. And even he is the best , I bet Ma Long won't think that no one can defeat him, but he did got in control of his phycological problem after he won two major champions of his life.

You are right. He is a one wing attacker and his forehand is not as powerful as people think.

At 47:23 watch what Ma Long does. He wipes his hand on the table. Not at the net, but closer to the serving area. Then he serves the ball right into the wet spot. Wow!

Ma Long doesn't look unbeatable anymore, finally.
I think the Chinese crowd got nervous.
I think Oshima beat himself at the end from inexperience.

One day Yuya will beat him!
Oshima and Yoshimura got gold in their hands, they will be Japans top player. Japan is rising and maybe even the chinese can't stop them.
