I have the same engine code on my golf V ,same chiptunning,170-180 hp and my turbo broke.I want to speak with u in private to share some impressions if u want.It held like 10 mounths and 8k km.I suspect that the turbo rebuilding before soft wasnt that profesional.Everybody say abut the ecu soft that is safe and reliable on bkd.If u have time I would like to discuss with you.The car have around 100k km,the mentenance was above avrige with best filters, coolant ,oil, quality diesel. The car have seen some abuse (not in 100% of the time, ofc),but every time I let it the engine get warm and cool down before(as the oil).I had the best "taking care" and the turbo failed.Reply me if u are interested to give some advices or listen the story and what happened. Thanks
@@AndreasBurkhardt1 All the better, you're lucky the bkd engines are often turbo problems after a stage 1 but i think 170 hp is perfect 185 hp it's too much
i exploded 2 turbos now in 5 months the turbine just completely breaks and all i m left is a hole and white smoke .. not even tuned do u know what could cause this problem ?? ( the mileage isnt the problem since the engine +turbo + trans ( dsg ) were all changed after the first turbo exploded
@@AndreasBurkhardt1 My MK5 GT with the BMN 170HP/350NM 2 litre has a claimed top speed of 225kph, so you sound pretty correct on your guess. 7.9sec 0 - 100 kph with the DSG. Perfectly reliable car.
Try shifting earlier as the power starts to go down around 3,500-4000rpm. Shift at 4,000 for best results
Max power, from the factory is at 4200 rpm. It's not like it drops off after 4000rpm like a rock either.
Yes , i have dyno on the same car and the max power it s at 4200 rpm
Pretty nice :) i have same engined Golf and now we r about 630 000km mileage :) maybe little more :)
Do you have any problems with it ?
reo fk Some problems with oil leaking and warm starts are little bit harder
@@michal3131 not bad fo 630 000km
Is the leaking form turbo ?
I want to buy one with 300 000km
2.0 TDI BKD... Perhaps the most reliable engine among 2.0 TDI PD ! Eaven if the ignorant people will still talk shit about this engine. :)
@dajdža Rile In terms of reliability, you´re right... For anything other than that, I' d take the 2.0 TDI instead of the 1.9 TDI anytime. ;)

They're shit turbos that's why. Ask anyone that has a bkd, they're a weak spot and a lot put a hybrid turbo on
@@matthewellis9885 I rebuild it and now strats to whisle again...but no oil consuption..idk , yeah is pritty shit
@@fanedreapta4460 That's why I'd never remap or tune a bkd. I'm happy with stock performance.
Hi bro do you fik the ESP light? and how tell me please
How's the clutch holding up?
No problems so far. (Now at 207.400 km)
nice vid.
Does it consumes more oil than it was 140hp or the same ?
Thanks
No difference in oil consumption.
Turbo still working ? I remap my a3 2.0 tdi 140 hp bkd to 185 hp and after 2 month the turbo broke
Because of the mileage, I only went for 170 hp. No issues so far after 5000 km with the stage 1.

@@mehdiremidi8632 Yes in general the engine bkd is not reliable, or so put less pressure in the turbo ..
@@mehdiremidi8632 did you clean up the intake, intercooler piping and replace the intercooler?
VW is the best.
Why only 170hp ?🤔
Because my BKD
is 184hp now
I have just remaped stage1.
It's safer and enough for me. I've read about turbo problems with too much power on BKDs.
Do you know the top speed on this 170hp version?
This is the 140 HP version chipped to 170 HP. I don't know the top speed. It should be around 225 km/h.
@@AndreasBurkhardt1 My old 140 hp 235 kmh
