1 hour of pickleball instruction and practice and they're properly moving back and forth depending on the quality of the drop shot, handling multishot volleys with control, properly shot selection during dinking and converting defense to offense!? Yeah these guys are monsters and would most definitely have beaten you in subsequent games. Which is crazy to go from a 2.0 to 4.5+ in a few hours
Yea man they were real good and had lots of potential! Unfortunately for them and maybe fortunately for me they haven't played much since that day and the skill gap has widened quite a bit
the swing wont translate well. The tennis swing is more complicated and requires full body motion. But talented athletes will adjust quicker of course.
I def don’t 😅 haha jk but I plan on playing with them again and getting them out more regularly once their Tennis season is over in May I believe. I’ll be sure to post a vid on their progression. Their assistant coach has been playing for about 6 - 8 months and is an absolute monster.
Bro I was just randomly watching this video, and had no idea you lived in Tulsa. Wild. My coaches also play at ORU ask the players if they know a guy named Caiden or a guy named Eli
It's probs a lot more work but I think it'd be cool to see the score throughout the games like you did with the Pro vid. Would get me more involved with the game.
If you give me the same set of tennis players with just a few hours of coaching - playing pickleball with tennis philosophy and court craft ; they should beat the same set of pickleball players hand down is my "boast" Just theorectically as I know and visualised it in my head but practically as I am from the East. There is no way that can ever happened!
Hey @TJFish I’m 4.5 player and I’ve won a few tournaments in singles. My most recent one was Gold at the PPA Arizona Grand Slam. Haven’t really done so great in doubles though
@@PickleballWill Anytime dude. Keep at it, you've got game and editing talent. Good combo. I'll be in FL in a weeks time for 2 weeks. Hoping to find some good games there and hopefully really up my game.
Yea i told em when they are done with their season and when they wanna post it on their channel we would. Gonna have fun trying return these serves haha
Wow!!!! If that’s the case you are amazing. The kitchen is hardest for people that play other sports like tennis specially. You looked like a natural using the kitchen . You were even using it with strategy to get weak shots by using the kitchen . Amazing.
Indeed! They had about an hour of play with their teammates and coach before they played us haha. It was def kind of scary but also not surprising how good they were picking it up
Tennis translate very well to pickleball. I tried it once and it didn't take long to get used to it, the most I had to get used to is the weight of the ball and the angle of the paddle when doing forehand or backhand, but any slices is like second nature. Finesse style or doubles tennis players are probably even better at it than those power hitters style of play..
Receiving second hand embarrassment from Mani’s insecurity 😖 it’s so sad and cringe that people actually take time to write stuff like this lmao keep it up, Will! You have one of the most entertaining PB channels. And you are looking good out there 😜

You guys should do a pickleball players play tennis video!
Oh yea for sure I want to play Ignacio in tennis. Doubt I could even return his serve. There’s a reason why tennis is the 👑 of the racket sports haha
the swing wont translate well. The tennis swing is more complicated and requires full body motion. But talented athletes will adjust quicker of course.
they wouldnt get any serves back it would be 6-0 6-0
They honestly did great! loved that they were able to use pickleball tactics and didn't just smash the ball from the back line the whole time
Dude way better than most tennis players. Great pick up of proper footwork at nvz and stable open stance. I'm actually very impressed
Yea man D1 players ain’t your average tennis players
Very entertaining video! I really enjoyed the SFX, especially "Finish Him!" from Mortal Kombat.
Thanks! I’ll try and see if I can do a pickleball style fatality the next time I’m on court 😅
It's scary how quick these tennis kids pick it up
Really scary
The editing is hilarious!!! Keep up the great work
Thanks Tim glad you enjoy it!
This was their first time?! Wow. I'd like to see them in a month or two. 😳
I def don’t 😅 haha jk but I plan on playing with them again and getting them out more regularly once their Tennis season is over in May I believe. I’ll be sure to post a vid on their progression. Their assistant coach has been playing for about 6 - 8 months and is an absolute monster.
@@PickleballWill wow - def do an update video when you can. Keep up the good work!
Will do and likewise to you!
@@PickleballWillassistant coach?sounds like some content right there!
Love it!! The "quack" got a good giggle out of me! 😅 And yooooooo that jump at 6:00 was HOT! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Haha 🙏 thanks! Glad you got a kick out of it!
@@PickleballWill 😊
Great use of sfx here! That match was intense, I was sweating! 😅
😆 glad you enjoyed!
Dang! I know they played D1, but they picked up fast. Fun video!
If we went best out of 5 they probably would have beaten us haha
pickleball is a joke compared to tennis ofc the picked it up fast.
Yea pickleball is way funnier than tennis 🙃
Yea pickleball is way funnier than tennis 🙃
Interesting. Never played so it shows the skill level of pickle ball ?
Very fun video to watch. Video game effects made it entertaining too.
Glad you enjoyed!
They weren't comfortable playing at the net...so it was kind of a losing battle for them
Those sound effects are too good ha
Oh what?! Been blessed by pickleball effect? Appreciate it bro glad you enjoyed!
bro your channel is gonna blow up one day
@jeffrey pachtman Appreciate you!
Bro I was just randomly watching this video, and had no idea you lived in Tulsa. Wild. My coaches also play at ORU ask the players if they know a guy named Caiden or a guy named Eli
If I see those dudes I will haha, haven’t played with them in awhile
Great vid as always - idea is great
It's probs a lot more work but I think it'd be cool to see the score throughout the games like you did with the Pro vid. Would get me more involved with the game.
@ajackster I’ll def put the score in the highlight videos moving forward!
@@PickleballWill thank you! :)
Those duck and Mario coin noises are great additions. 🙄
First time playing?! 😮 wow! Just wow!
Not too hard to believe haha but yes they would be very good!
Very entertaining video! All you guys were awesome out there. Much respect ✊🏾
Appreciate that and much respect to you for the positive comment!
Making d1 tennis players play pb is like making college wrestlers play footsies with you.
I mean nobody made them and they asked to play with me...and if you into that kinda thing I ain't judging you bro
Where can I get that pink hat you had on. ?
Melin in the name of the brand. Its part of their neon collection. It was limited so dunno if they still got it. Good luck!
Gotta love different racquet sports!
Fun video I love the edits
Glad you enjoyed and appreciate it my guy 🙏
Great video Will! Keep it up!
Thank you Mark!
The sound effects and cuts make this so fun to watch... great job will
Thanks James!
All four players are doing a decent job for not having played before. Give it some time then test it with a tournament or two
Well 2 of us have played for quite some time and the other 2 haven’t but you are def right! Gotta put it into tournament play
Safe to say they could be pro within a month
Yea most def
I am a USTPA tennis pro in Fayettiville, AR . never played this before. would luv to challenge you!
Heck yea bro if you ever put in Tulsa holla at me! We got a few ex college tennis players out here crushing me now
cool new ideas
Yup coming from a D1 tennis background I can totally attest to this but give them time they will pass you
Only if they decide to keep playing 😁 but these 2 don’t. Although Nacho is very skilled at singles, no surprises there
If you give me the same set of tennis players with just a few hours of coaching - playing pickleball with tennis philosophy and court craft ; they should beat the same set of pickleball players hand down is my "boast"
Just theorectically as I know and visualised it in my head but practically as I am from the East. There is no way that can ever happened!
Yea @Chee i def dont doubt it!
What's your rank considered Will? Have you entered and won any tournaments?
Hey @TJFish I’m 4.5 player and I’ve won a few tournaments in singles. My most recent one was Gold at the PPA Arizona Grand Slam. Haven’t really done so great in doubles though
@@PickleballWill you could have fooled me. You got skills!
@TJFish Thanks for the support man, appreciate you watching my vids and always commenting!

Good luck bro! I feel like it shouldn’t be a problem finding some good games in FL
Sound fx on point
Appreciate it! 🙏
Nice editing
@sufferedoak Appreciate it
can't believe this is a legit sport :DD
I want to see pickle ball pros play tennis, why is is always the other way around 🤔
🤔
How about the pickleball guys challenging them at tennis?
Yea i told em when they are done with their season and when they wanna post it on their channel we would. Gonna have fun trying return these serves haha
Yea that level of tennis player will be at least a 4.0 their first time playing.
Now both yall play volleyball lol...
Great. Now try it the other way. Would it even be close? 🤔
Haha most definitely, absolutely, not 🤣 probably can’t even see their serves
No way that could be his first time playing.
It was first day in. probably a couple hours in and maybe 6-7 games already played
Wow!!!! If that’s the case you are amazing. The kitchen is hardest for people that play other sports like tennis specially. You looked like a natural using the kitchen . You were even using it with strategy to get weak shots by using the kitchen . Amazing.
Now play them in tennis !
You gonna have to find that in their channel when they make one 😁 but I probably couldn’t even see their serves haha
now try the other way....pickleball pros vs college tennis players...gg
We talking playing pickleball or we talking playing tennis?
I think old school d1 players would fare much better.
Oh yea any D1 players with just a bit of time do well
There's no way this was their first time! They weren't bad at all.
Indeed! They had about an hour of play with their teammates and coach before they played us haha. It was def kind of scary but also not surprising how good they were picking it up
I was thinking the same thing. As the play progressed you can see them getting better. You guys were no joke also. You guys are awesome!
Thanks Diana! They were def no joke! So much talent and skill

Hour about trying the other way around?
Pickleball guys will not even touch a single ball lol
Stepping in the kitchen like mama is baking cookies.
As long as Mama don’t catch me I’m getting em 😅
I beat d 1 tenis players in tennis
Word you must be beast Tennis player
Real issue is that they stole spots for Americans on D1 sports
Now play them in tennis..... In 2 months they would destroy you at pickleball.
I play with them all time, been over 2 months, hasn’t happened yet…in tennis though I can finally see their serves now 😎
Almost all top Pickleball (Pusseyball) players are former Tennis players and some learned to play Pusseyball like in 6 months.
You kinda sound like a hater. The game is easy to learn, but hard to master.
Lol yea my guy thats common knowledge and dang bro who hurt you? Is my pickleball playing making you insecure?
Receiving second hand embarrassment from Mani’s insecurity 😖 it’s so sad and cringe that people actually take time to write stuff like this lmao keep it up, Will! You have one of the most entertaining PB channels. And you are looking good out there 😜
Mani, Pickleball is living rent free in your mind.... 😅🤣
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed 🤣🤣 I wish I had the energy this guy has to spend time trash talking! Keep it up Willy Vanilly!
