i'm glad this pancake shop is recognized because to go above and beyond the average pancake (which is already very good) deserves credit. This does not deviate from the traditional taste, yet it is better in every way possible: better texture of the cake, nice crisp outside and softness inside, better peanut butter (creamier?) with super nice texture and crunch. i was impressed. tried the one in simei.

I love Munchi pancakes and the exciting fillings they use, especially the sesame and hazelnut ones! I’m impressed with the texture of the dough which has the traditional bite to it! I wonder what’s the special mix of flour they use that gives it the dense, chewy, structured yet soft texture. I believe they add 澄粉wheat starch flour, tapioca or rice flour in it to get that texture.
