Guru is everything..... That's very true.... He gives knowledge, techniques to utilise that knowledge, way to enhance that knowledge, ways to explore and go deep into that knowledge.... everything is fine...
But I feel.. one thing that he can't control in students.... of course he can only say but can't control.... That's the ego of student after success....
I have some personal experiences (multiple) with him....and i have felt there should be some criterion if anyone wants to talk to him
1.) Stature or karishma of stalwarts like Pt.Swapan Chowdhury, Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, Pt. Shankar Gosh, Vikram Ghosh, Pt. Kumar Bose etc..
OR
2.) Someone with sufficient track or carrier record or sufficient identity in music fraternity
Or
3.) Foreigners...pay in dollars..
When the ego grows enough... People talk about his past only in interviews...
Anyways .... It was my personal experience ... And and far as his work ...his make is very good...

He is very unreceptive on the phone if you are calling from overseas and do not have a big persons name to bounce around. Inflates the price and gives sketchy details of shipment etc. I rather support the other guys who get skin from Kalighat.
